You have changed the Yahoo main page by making it necessary to load an extra page if I want to read a particular story. I just clicked on a story about Charlie Daniels' open letter to America which includes the first 2 lines of the story. This brings me to a second page with 9 lines of the story I am trying to get to. The first 2 lines from the first page are repeated here. In order to read the actual story, I have to click Read More. If I fall into the trap of reading the 9 lines on page 2 and THEN click on Read More I am brought to the actual story and of course the 9 lines from page 2 are included at the beginning of the real story. The twist here is that the actual story is formatted totally differently than page 2 so I have to find my place. If your intent is to get Yahoo readers to read more ads on that intermediate page you have failed. The ads don't load fast enough to be seen before I click on Read More and furthermore I am so frustrated with this design that I refuse to read any ads there and if it doesn't change, I will remove Yahoo as my home page.
So instead of letting your computer categorize this feedback with other similar feedback so we can vote on it, give this to a real person and assign someone to change things back to the way they were. I challenge you to find one honest person who will tell you that this intermediary page is an improvement or that it speeds browsing up in any way. By the way, I don't expect this to change because we live in a world now where designers decide what users like without ever seeming to ask the actual users for feedback. Smarten up!!
