I absolutely hate the new yahoo homepage. Please go back to the old version.
Bring back the old yahoo web page this one sucks. I hate clicking on a story to read more and there isn't one. I don't like that I can't read the latest news only what is posted and it seems because I click on one certain type of article that is the only thing that comes up on my home page. I don't know who had this brilliant idea to change it to this new format but it is awful and not as user friendly.

can't agree more, the old way was much much, much better and much, much easier to use. I cannot and will not use it anymore.

Yahoo has become the pits for reading news. I am looking elsewhere.

It seems an overwhelming number of users feet that the new homepage sucks. Never had problems with freezes until they changed the format to all the auto-load ads and video. Time to reconsider Yahoo.

Agree. Dreadful and my computer frequently freezes trying to load all the garbage advertising.

Also, there are so many ads that it takes 3-4 minutes to load up a page you want to see before you can read or go to the next page. What looks like a news story turns out to be how to adjust your underwear to ensure you never have ED. What a ridiculous use of what could be a powerful tool for good.

I would like to bring back the ability to get rid of stories I have no interest. There used to be a dislike and plus button so you could tailor your preferences to what your interests are.

Hate the new page, news is not even updated. I miss the scroll on top. I might have to change my home page. The old format was best, when I chose the news I wanted, had comments and local section, I was able to put the boxes in order to my preference.

Can't block pages I don't want to see anymore, like the KARDAISHANS. Also, you click on a story and in order to read all of it, you have to click on another link, it sucks...

I realize that ads are an important revenue source. And with the new format, the quality of presentation has deteriorated to where I am ready to leave Yahoo as my home website. Pages are slow to refresh, links don't respond at all, links direct me to stories I did not select, pages look cluttered. The webpage designer grade I give to this format is a D-. Yahoo has been my home website for over 10 years and has deteriorated to what seems is very unprofessional in term of page operability, appearance (cluttered look) and content quality is much lower.

I/ve got to agree. It seems like more and more "junk" news (including all the attendant mal/ad ware) and less and less real news. There's much more "sponsored" news and repetition of that same "ad" every dozen stories or so. Why are they trying to turn Yahoo into an advertising emporium? Seems like they're shooting for the tabloid part of the market. Listen up Yahoo. Those people don't have any money (maybe that will get their attention). You're beginning to aim at the wrong demographic.

What happened to the My Comments button? You used to be able to use Yahoo News to find your comments, "after the horrible homepage change," but now it's gone there too. If i wanted to read a newspaper without the ability to discuss it with other people, there are actual news sites with decently written articles i could read. I learn more from the comments than from your articles half the time, but if i can't find a discussion, it's useless. Bring back the my comments ability.

I agree with all the comments!! I hate the new format as the only preferences in the news feed are
Like

Repost to Twitter or Tumbler.
How about DISLIKE? How do you get rid of stories or news organizations that you never want to see in your news feed under any circumstances! This needs to be restored as feature. (You say, "Mark your "dislikes in preferences". This doesn't work as those news organizations are in the dislike section of my preferences and still show up in my news feed. I want greater control over the news that comes to me on a regular basis. -

Completely agree. Fire the UX people/person responsible for making this horrible decision. Who purposefully makes their users have to make an additional click in order to read the full content? WTF!!!

1) HATE the popup with only part of the story, 2) no comments sections 3) Scroll to infinity on the homepage. Will need to look elsewhere for my news feeds/trending now. But will come back for the finance page (unless the ***** that up as well).

And you can`t block a story you don`t want to see anymore, or at least I haven`t figured out how to block it.
