If a reader takes the time to click on a story, just display the entire story. Let it up to the reader if they want to just read the 1st paragragh vs the entire article. This would make yahoo way better because time is gold for everyone.

The only explanation for this ridiculousness is the additional ads that are shown on the "read more" page. The headline and summary on the main page is more than enough for people to make a decision. The extra page you all have provided is read less than the terms and conditions.
