Software team should be "re evaluated/ re assigned"
Why do they pay developers to make people angry?
The whole development team that came up with this new format should be summarily fired and previous pay returned to Yahoo, and all the commentary below explain why we feel this way, this is the most backward improvement yet, just go back to the old format and reduce overall censorship, with delayed posting privileges and allow for higher thumbs down before eliminating posts particularly in controversial topics where people vote down a person's beliefs when true when the crowd doesn't want to hear that opinion, and make our post history more visible with comments etc..... when the math doesn't add up, don't change the math, change the calculator.
Like people have said hundreds of times..... we don't like pop up video ads instead of news stories, we don't like the read more button, we don't like to be taken offsite to go through weird menus to see top 25 celebrity makeovers.... we like broad based actual diverse news forums to talk in like AP news stories, Reuters, Bloomberg, ABC/CBS/CNN news stories..... all with the predictable discussion forums where we see clearly where our comments were and could follow up on people's replies...... just stop with the bad go backwards upgrades to a system we all liked previously. Yahoo is awesome, and I must apologize for all the griping on these suggestion boards but it was all the griping that got you to the levels of success that you enjoyed, Yahoo is awesome when it works well for everyone, less revenue generation tactics = more friendly consumer experience.
