Stop giving misinformation. Let Catholicism-savy people write the articles that are Catholic-related.
Don't let people that are ignorant about a certain religion write articles about 'new things' said by the religious leader of that religion. I have been seeing lately this spread of ignorance in the recent articles about what Pope Francis wrote, saying that he said that the divorced aren't excommunicated (which is not new, they have never been) and the author says I means that they can receive Communion (which is false and close to blasphemy to say). This could have been avoided if the author knew what the heck excommunication is. Some other things are said, like that now marriages outside of the Church law by the Catholic was considered sin before and not now by Pope Francis (which he never said). Also it presents as a new thing that Pope Francis speaks positively about *** as something new in the papacy or in the Church and all this as if the Amoris Laetitia (which I have personally read) meant change in doctrine or in Church teaching. You know? The Catechism as we know it today was published 23 years ago. All that the Pope said? There is it. I see people being confused, alarmed or spreading the falsehoods. For some sin will be upon them. It may be upon some of you, for irresponsibility. If the Church cared to sue the press, you'd be in for trouble, as you are saying (in a sweet and happy tone) what translates into 'Pope Francis is an heretic apostate, that makes him cool'. Not cool, guys. What if I published that the owner of Yahoo said homophobic stuff and then used a few misinterpreted lines of what he said to make it sound plausible? And if that reached millions for weeks? And they spread the word and started doing boycotts and stuff about it? Not nice, right? Don't do it.
