I don't think you should add links to any sites that require you to register or subscribe
It's annoying to read a feature story on Yahoo news, then when you press the link, the site that placed the news story requires you to register or subscribe to read the entire story. That's just a tease, and with so many free and available news sites available, why bother with those that want to tease your readers. That is big turn off for me.

Fully agree. Miami Herald is a prime example. Not worth scanning YAHOO any more for news as you run into these situations a lot.
