Changed meaning of notification bell is useless and annoying.
I am already sick of seeing that little #1 on the Notificaitons bell that no longer means there are responses to a comment thread in which I've participated. Now it's just an ad for a feature you want me to click on, and no matter how many times I open and read the ad, that's not enough for you to delete the number. Apparently, only subscribing to that feature would be enough. Well, I'm not willing to dance for the puppeteer just to get rid of the number, but I sure am sick of thinking every time I see it out of the corner of my eye that I either have a real comment notification or a new email. You are not getting what you want, I'm not getting what I want. Come on. Give in on this one, Yahoo; I'm going to keep being stubborn on it.
