Educating Children Through Music
Peanut Butter Jelly Quality Child Care, Inc (PBJQCC) is a small non-profit family child care which works with children between the ages of 2-5. PBJQCC’s goal is to prepare children for entry into kindergarten with the knowledge and attitude required for them to succeed during their early childhood years. This labor-of-love is accomplished by providing educational information using a variety of methods including but not limited to:
Structured Classroom Lessons
Music
Games
Physical Activities
Field Trips
And More
The Peanut Butter Jelly JamZ Project, will be the development of a CD designed to teach and enhance early childhood learning through the power of music. The CD will contain songs geared to teaching children Literacy, Math, Science, Nutrition and other educational subjects. Peanut Butter Jelly JamZ will not be the typical children’s CD were children are singing popular adult song. Peanut Butter Jelly JamZ will be an “Educational Dance CD”. A CD that parent will want to play in the car, at home and even at a party. Simply put, parents will be willing to engage this CD because the “Music” will be geared towards what parents while the “Lyrics” will provide educational information to the children. So while mom and /or dad bounce to the beat, the kids get lessons in the areas of Literacy, Math, Science, Nutrition, Social Skill, etc. Therefore, supporting this project will help to increase the educational and social levels of children between the ages of 2-8 all over the United States.
