Either get rid of comments or moderate them.
There are way too many comments that simply exist to antagonize other groups of people on the website (ex. Rep vs. Dem). They are not adding to a conversation, they are looking for confirmation of existing ideas or to troll others. A huge number of comments are simply hate speech. Free speech doesn't protect evil people from saying whatever they want, whenever they want. If people want to comment about how certain races are animals or how people of a certain lifestyle should kill themselves, let them go somewhere else.
