What is Yahoo/Verizon going to do PROACTIVELY to end their publication of these racist posts?
The internet and social media like YouTube, Facebook, Yahoo, etc., has been the driving force behind the explosion of racism and hate over the recent decades. There was a time when cowardly, anonymous racist tirades could only reach a few with pamphlets. No more, now the hate mongers can reach millions. I clicked through, at least the top comments are not (currently) racist, but I agree that whenever I see an article that has any racial element, I cringe at whatever is in the comment pop up box that keeps appearing at the bottom of my screen. Two of the three comments it shows are always racist and horrible. They need to do a much more efficient job of screening hate speech. The comment forums are just a cesspool on here.
