As a direct reaction to the incident of the school shooting that happened at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland on Wednesday February 14, 2018, I can say: ‘WE, PARENTS, CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!’
We now once again have learned from many media outlets that the 19-year-old teenage boy reportedly posted threats to ‘shoot people with his AR-15’ to social media prior to the attack. We don’t understand the reason why the system didn’t try to find out the causes of his frustration so that he could be helped and prevented a future tragedy. If sometimes powerful countries can preemptively attack other countries to prevent unwanted tragedy, we can use this tactic too to prevent some types of heartbreaking event in the civil society. Yes, while by law, per say, we can’t arrest someone based on bad or evil things he or she has expressed, but we can do what I call now PREEMPTIVE INTERROGATIONS, which might hypothetically lead to discover some early mental turbulence or criminal intentions from an individual. The mentally troublesome disrupted individual could probably get the right help at the right time. That would be better than later say sorry to at least 17 young beautiful souls who have been at the wrong place at the wrong time. Hence, we would not have the bad Valentines gift of at least 17 dead at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland on Wednesday February 14, 2018.
As a parent of two handsome boys, I CAN’T TAKE THAT STRESS ANYMORE! I am tired TO BE WORRIED DAILY each time I’ve dropped both of my kids to their elementary school. Oh God! I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE! I am speaking for other parents in Florida who in their hearts are shouting the same thing: “ WE CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE.
There is no excuse to not having a preventive plan because we parents have learned from news outlets that at least one student recognized Cruz from an Instagram photo in which he posed with a gun in front of his face, according to CBS News. Why there was no PREEMPTIVE INTERROGATIONS for God sake? There is a blatant difference between arrest and PREEMPTIVE INTERROGATIONS. The most unpleasant part is that another online comment made by the shooter reportedly read, "I wanna die Fighting killing s**t ton of people." What else a responsible lawful enforcement authority would want to wait for in order to apply the strategy of PREEMPTIVE INTERROGATIONS without arresting that individual. I am sure that young shooter would find mental or medical help and probably he would change his mad, evil, or horrific thinking.
The teen has been expelled from the high school for disciplinary reasons in the last school year, according to reports; however, the question is: who was there to help the kid to not feeling rejected by the society? Believe me feeling of rejection is hard to manage for some young people. That’s true! Feeling of repudiation can trigger catastrophic perception and conception inside of the mind of certain young people. TRUE!
Now, the question is not only about blaming, tearing, sympathizing, empathizing, condemning, offering comfort and sending wishes: HOW SHOULD THE SYSTEM APPLY DISCIPLINARY ACTION IN A WAY THAT WON’T PROBABLY TRIGGER FEELINGS OF REJECTION, REPUDIATION, AND DISAVOWAL BY THIS SYSTEM TO A YOUNG KID THAT’S ALREADY SUFFERING FROM MENTAL PROBLEMS?
Suggestion:
The system should disarm the society with automatic or semiautomatic guns, but let people keep enjoying the privilege of buying hand-guns that can’t kill too many people in just a few minutes. I think humanistic gun owners that can’t do mass killing should be happy about that fact because respecting or protecting lives is better than having the ability to kill bunch of people in very short time. COMMON-MORAL-SENSE!
The system can respect the right of the people to own guns, but at the same time can mitigate gun shooting tragedies that are too current nowadays.
I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE, YOU CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE, AND WE CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!
