Okay Bad Orange Man is gone and the election is behind you - so where is the comment section?
Since yahoo articles are so very biased (oh - we weren't supposed to notice?) the counterpoint element of the comment section was a nice balance. Also a good way to take the temperature of the public opinion as well as study the intellect levels of folks that actually read news and care enough to respond. To keep comments disabled is to show fear - a lack of belief in the truth of the Yahoo News Staff's own veracity. Or perhaps y'all simply wish to serve biased, liberal tainted news without allowing a conservative voice to balance the report. Not to mention corrections to factual mistakes or opinion couched as factual news (I have commented on both in the past - usually simply to correct mistakes - yeah with 42 years immersed in the military and government I often see factual mistakes in current reporting and would correct if allowed - if only to allow the public to understand how government really works). From the old military person - disabling comments seems an act of cowardice. Yahoo stands in the public square holding a one sided debate - open the debate to both sides! One sided debate is NOT public discourse. Be bold - open the comment section back up and stop living in fear. Please - do not SEEM bold, BE bold.
