Run stories of missing black people too.
Right now, you have 9 stories on your main page about Gabby Petito's tragic disappearance and apparent death. Did you run any stories at all about Destini Smothers? She too was from Upstate NY, both disappeared while traveling with a significant other, both were young females in their early twenties, both are loved and cherished by their families. I'm sure their similarities could go on and on except for one thing..... race. That one thing made the determination between agencies and media as to whose life mattered.
Black lives matter just as much as white lives so why does one story get so much attention and not the other?
