I have used Yahoo for a very long time as my home page. Although the news feed is mostly fluff, I see some relevant news. As of late, I try to limit negative images since I can feel a negative impact on my mental health. Most of the time I can scan the articles and make a choice of what I want to see. Today I read a headline "South Korean Plane Crash Kills at Least 179" and before I could scroll past it I saw the crash. Horrifying.
I understand it is important to be able to see such things, it shouldn't be jammed down everyone's throat. Stop the auto play feature or monitor the video being shown. The impact on mental health of the general population is ridiculous, it can be seen everywhere.

yahoo used to be a place you could talk to anyone. now you act like it's your job to protect the modern ill equipped useless people.
i have tried to deal with your pathetic excuse for a news site, but i am finally through coming back to see if you actually listen to users, or are just pushing an agenda. definitely not the former -

Yahoo news onmouseover Event elements
On the upper right of your news article pages is an ever increasing number of onmouseover event triggers that are annoying enough to make me want to not come back to yahoo any more. One opens a yahoo categories menu named "More", which I see flash before my eyes 50 times a day as I close pages I am done with. You should not use non-interactive triggers such as onmouseover in good web design, as these bullying prompts provide a poor and annoying user experience and ultimately results in fewer users.

I can definitely handle unhappy news reports. But when that comprises everything that Yahoo reports, I feel like turning to gmail or any other email resource.

I'd like to see more inspiring, upbeat state and world news on here. Absolutely everything on my newsfeed involves child or animal abuse, kidnapping, ****, sensational political news, etc. Everything is incredibly depressing. I will have to change my address to avoid all this. I feel like I'm reading The National Enquirer.

The way this world is going anymore instead of posting so much negative things for viewers to read and see. I beg you to get back to more positive news. Whoever is in charge of yahoo news...if you are a man or woman of GOD then bring back morals for people to see instead of movie stars' dressed half naked. Stop positing shootings and ****. Do you not know that what you put out there will bring about more negative out comes in our world and society??? Someone needs to do a little soul searching!

The subject says it. I want to know what's happening in the US, and I expect the feed to be far more well-rounded than you sole focus on violence.

And by the way, the convoy is not doing this to protest MASK mandates. Their goal is to end the Emergency Powers Act for covid and hold people responsible for the way the pandemic has been handled.
