Include more background, feedback and Moderate and Conservative POV's in your articles and OP Eds
Good afternoon. I have been a Yahoo reader and email holder for over 20 years. Even an avid reader. I am a bit of a News junkie; I really enjoy reading your articles and opinion pieces about Current Events, people in the News, etc., as well as the Historical pieces - although less the Historical ones. Your Writers and Editors have a great way, that I really like, of writing and editing that conveys the pertinent data with enough background and context to help your readers get to the heart of the story and understand the issues.
This much you already knew or I wouldn't have hung around for over 20 years. My purpose in writing is to ask and encourage you to include more Moderate and Conservative points-of-view in your News and Opinion pieces. I would encourage and support this type of Journalism anytime; however, in the world today we, your readers, are experiencing a large number of sources that include only the writer's/editor's perspective and not much context or background. This situation makes it difficult to sift out reality - from a Liberal, Moderate or Conservative perspective. I suggest your reporting the facts not change. Keep fighting to report all of the facts. At the same time, I suggest adding more background, context and a mix of L, M and C perspectives to allow your readers to look at a given incident/bill/law/statistic/etc. from different perspectives. This will allow them to see other peoples perspectives and also to make the best decision for them. And, by following Yahoo News, will allow them to change their minds down the road if need be.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your time.
Regards,
DJ
