Bo Bichette
hes a 3B now.. please change his position to SS/3B
he is not a straight SS anymore.
please make this change.Hi Dan,
Players changing positions can affect how you manage your team. Their positions are determined based on info from the MLB roster and past performance. Once the player has gained eligibility, they won't lose it even if they don't make additional appearances in the season.
Determine position eligibility
The number of games a player completes determines position eligibility.
- Position eligibility – 5 starts or 10 total appearances in a position.
- Pitcher eligibility – 3 starts to be a starter, or 5 relief appearances to qualify as a reliever.
Use the position eligibility countdown (website)
The number under each position shows how many games remain until the player is eligible for that position. If an "E" appears in the column, they're already eligible to play.
- Under the "Players" tab, click Position Eligibility.
- Type the player's name into the available field.
- Click Search.

Thank you for reaching out regarding Josh Sborz not being in the player pool. Sborz is not on the active roster or 40-man roster for any MLB team. Sborz will have to be added to a team's active roster or 40-man roster (depending on your league's setting) in order to be added to the player pool this season.

Additional Player schedule insights
Rather than the torpedo bat icon, there are some things that can be added to player profiles that would be EXETREMELY useful.
- For batters, indication whether they hit R, L or Switch AND indicate whether the scheduled opposing starting pitcher is R or L. This is very useful for Start / sit decisions.Hello Derek,
Thank you for your feedback.

Remove Torpedo Bat
The Torpedo bat indicator was fun for the brief flash in the pan that it was, but I don't think there is any value ( or any easy, clear way to continue to track) whether a batter is using a Torpedo bat or not.

Remove torpedo bat icon
Please remove the Torpedo Bat icons from the player profiles. This cheapens the overall look and usability of the app. It doesn’t impact anything and was a cute topic last season that has since cooled. Thank you!

When will yahoo become active in updating the latest news on the players?
looks like Yahoo is slacking (Player latest news/updates)compared to other fantasy baseball leagues...whats up?
Thanks for reaching out regarding player news. Our data providers (Rotowire and Rotoworld) will add new player updates whenever noteworthy updates come about. Currently, you will see a 2026 player outlook on the player card for each player. Any recent player updates (if there are any) can be found below that. Player updates will be added more frequently once the season starts.

you're missing Corbin Martin - RP for the Cubs
you're missing Corbin Martin - RP for the Cubs
Hi Jeff,
Choosing the best players for your team is crucial to winning your Fantasy Baseball league. Top prospects and new players are available at different times based on your league's settings and are subject to your team's waiver rules.
"New Players Become Available" setting locks post draft - Neither commissioners nor Yahoo Customer Care is able to edit this post-draft.
Player availability options
During spring training, any player already in our system on a MLB 40-man roster may show as "active" until the regular season begins.
- "As soon as Yahoo adds them" option - Players are available as soon as they're added to a team's 40-man roster. While players outside the 25-man roster can’t be used until after September 1st, you can claim your stake early.
- "Wait until called up to the Majors" option - Players won’t be available until they’ve been called up to the Majors and are…

Team separation
Is there a way, in the drop down "stats" column (or other), to include the team only? Such as, only list the players on the Yankees or Bulls or Patriots, etc?
Hi Tommy,
There is a filter option to sort by team on the Players page on the web and iOS Fantasy app.

Allow Player Search by multiple positions (example 1B-3B-OF)
Beyond that, I really enjoyed not having to fiddle with a Free Agent Budget this year. I like the 1st come-1st served (subject to Waiver Priority) approach.
As always, thank you for this game. See you in the Spring.

Latest News
Can you please add the date that each news item was listed on the players. Example: when I click on the 'blue' note next to a player's name, I know there is a new item. It changes color when it's been read. This is great!
BUT writing Friday next to the info doesn't do me any good. Especially if the note is from 2 weeks ago. So instead of writing 'Friday' only please write Friday's date like 6/20. Thank you for considering my suggestion.Genevieve Bouldin
txgenevieve@sbcglobal.netThanks for your feedback. I will share this with our design team.

allow points for batting to not include pitching until they do both.
I am playing against another team who has Ohtani both as a batter and a pitcher. When Ohtani bats his points go to both his batting total score and his pitching total score. So he is collecting his batting score as a batter and a pitcher (double score). Tonight he isn't pitching and scoring 20.60 points at each line for a total 41.20 and he hasn't pitched at all. League H2H-Pts153244
Hey Tim,
While the points may show for both the hitting and batting versions of Ohtani, the scoring for the pitching version will get cleared during our overnight updates on days that he doesn't pitch.

Troy Melton should be listed as RP
Troy Melton is now a relief pitcher for Detroit and is not in the starting rotation. He should be list as a RP not a SP
Thank you for your feedback regarding Troy Melton's position eligibility. Pitchers need 3 starts to gain SP eligibility and 5 relief appearances to gain RP eligibility. Once he makes 5 relief appearances, he will gain RP eligibility this season.

organize the new splits pages on player profiles
With the new layout on player splits, there is no pattern to the pages. Home/away, day/night, stats vs. other teams are a jumbled mess and you can't just look at the pages because there is no pattern to it. At least the old pages were easier to read. What a mess. I might consider taking my league to CBS or ESPN.

Bug in New Yahoo Baseball Player Profile Page
On the new yahoo player profile page that just went live, there is a bug with pitcher metrics for players who were traded to a new team. For the season stats, it is straight adding a pitchers ERA from one team with the ERA from the other team.
Ex: Chris Paddack had a 4.95 ERA with the Twins and now has a 1.50 ERA with the Tigers. The new page is adding these two together and showing he has a 6.45 ERA for the season. These two should not be added together like wins and loses. It would need to…

benched player in a rain delay
if a player is not starting, but you have them in your lineup. There is a rain delay, yahoo doesn't let you sub them out. regardless of a rain delay a person should be able to take them out of their starting lineup. Sometimes it is a last minute change by the MLB team and you are screwed. You should give us the flexibility to take the player out even if the game has started. The player shouldn't be locked in and not be able to be substituted out.
Hello Terry,
If a player’s game is officially postponed (PPD), you can move that player to the bench and swap him out for another player on your roster even after the game's originally scheduled start time. Note that if any stats have been counted for the game (for any player) before the game is postponed, the roster position will remain locked and cannot be edited.
Players in games with a status of delayed will be locked. Only when the game is officially postponed will the player be unlocked.
