  1. Stat corrections for suspended games should apply to the day those stats were actually recorded

When a game is suspended and resumed later in the week new starting pitching will often come into the game, and this often takes the place of their regularly scheduled weekly start. However, managers aren't able to know this beforehand, and if that player is on their bench the day the game starts (considering there is no reason to have them in the lineup if they aren't scheduled to start that day) those stats for the week will go to waste. I believe this system needs to be revised to either allow managers to retroactively change their roster for suspended…

    Hi Jorge,

Stat corrections are applied at the end of the game week before scoring is finalized.

Managers can view the pending stat corrections throughout the week on the desktop/mobile website by hovering over the Players tab > Stat Corrections.

    Thanks,

When a game is suspended, all player scoring from the entire game will be applied via stat corrections at the end of the matchup week at approximately 11:59 pm PT on Sunday. You can see the pending stat corrections via the desktop version of the site by going to the "Players" tab and then clicking on "Stat Corrections".

  5. Stolen Bases Not Updating Correctly

My league standings show that I have 19 stolen bases season-to-date. However, there are two players, with a combined 25 stolen bases, that I haven't removed from my lineup all year. Can you please look into the accuracy of the scoring?

  6. Hitter reductions are needed

Pitchers have negative scoring areas - HBP, ER, Hits, BB. Batters don't in standard points-based leagues. In this format, it skews the importance of hitters, with only 23 of the top 200 players being pitchers.

Even it out. Give negative points to hitters for GIDP, K's, and CS. Perhaps add Holds as a positive pitcher stat.

With most ML teams carrying 13 hitters and 13 pitchers, it should be more even in the importance fantasy wise.

  7. go back to the way it was!

This update format, with football-style scoring, requires daily maintenance of your team if you want to be competitive. There is a clear cheat code with the new scoring; managers dropping and adding starting pitching every day give their team a huge advantage since relief pitching is less important without saves being needed. There are just too many days/games in baseball to do this the entire season, which is making fantasy baseball not as fun. Please go back to the old format using actual stats instead of accumulated points. There was nothing wrong with the old format.

    Hi Colin,

Thanks for your feedback. We will pass along your feedback to our product team.

While the default scoring was changed to head-to-head points, you can still join the old default head-to-head category scoring leagues in Public Leagues.

  8. Add start limits for points leagues

I'm running a points league for the first time this year and it's apparent after a couple months that the incentive to draft and keep all but the very best relievers is minimal given the option to stream decent starters, unless I push the points for saves and holds far above where I think they should be. I think this could largely be mitigated by allowing a cap for the number of pitching starts allowed per week. (Further, this also limits the imbalance that occasionally happens when one side gets several double-dips and the other one doesn't, though this is…

  9. stat corrections for SUSP games (IP category)

Hello, for this Monday's stat corrections please make sure you include the "IP" stat category for Bailey Ober and Logan Allen (game was suspended).

Last season when this occured you only corrected the "Out" category, except that our league does not use "Out", it uses "IP". This caused the manager to essentially lose points, and was never corrected.

Please write back if you need clarification.

If your league uses innings pitched instead of outs, it is expected behavior for the stat corrections page to show outs. Outs is the base component of innings pitched so the correction for outs will fix the innings pitched values when corrections are applied. The corrections will be properly applied for innings pitched.

  10. Check Stat Correction Settings, Please

    League ID#: 6248
The categories are wrong in stat Corrections for my league and has shorted me 42pts.
Joe Ryan should show an IP
category with 42pts coming. Instead, it shows Outs which we don't have and
credits 0pts. I'm not sure if it's not showing other categories as well.
Is this normal or an error?
(I have a close matchup and I should gain at least 6pts on my opponent Monday morning.)
Should stat Corrections show the correct settings for each individual league?

If this is an error, please fix before Monday. This is a battle between 1&2 and…

The stat corrections showing outs instead of innings pitched that your league uses is expected behavior. Outs is the base component of innings pitched so the correction for outs will fix the innings pitched values when corrections are applied. You will get the proper stat corrections for Joe Ryan when they are applied.

    Hi Stephen,

    Thanks for your feedback.

To be more aligned across our platform, the default scoring setting was updated to head-to-head points. Members can still choose to join a head-to-head category scoring league when joining, outside of an instant draft league.

  14. Why fan points?

Did fan points replace stat categories in H2H leagues or did I just choose the wrong H2H league? I hate this concept. I have no idea how my players are doing since you don't post batting average or ERA for the players. When using categories, you can keep track of how much you need to catch up. With fan points, I have to use a calculator to figure out where I'm at.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your feedback!

Head-to-head Points is the new default for Fantasy Baseball, including Private Leagues, Public Leagues, and Public Prize Leagues. However, when joining a league, you can still select Head-to-head Categories as a scoring type for each league type.

  15. Make H2H Categories default again and don't hide useful stats like BA or ERA

Going from Stat Categories to just Points is boring and diminishes the value of any single thing that a player is good at. I hate this. You have also ruined fantasy basketball and hockey by making this the default game type. Not every fantasy game needs to be exactly like fantasy football. There was nothing wrong with categories.

Speaking of stats, there is no longer any way to see a hitter's batting average/OPS or a pitcher's ERA. This is ridiculous. You removed these, but we can see utterly useless stats like HBPs that do count in the scoring.

    The mobile…

While Head-to-Head Points is the default scoring type, you can still join Head-to-Head Category leagues via the "Draft Later" option instead of the "Draft Now" option. In points leagues, stats like batting average and ERA are not used as scoring categories so that is why they are not shown. If you join a Head-to-Head Categories league, these stats will show as they are used as scoring categories. Also, some features may not be available on the app that are available on the desktop site. Our product team is continually working to refine the apps to have the same information available on both the app and desktop. We appreciate your feedback and we will pass it along to our team!

  16. Yahoo H2H-Pts 2434 (ID# 2434)

Machado hit a dinger off of Imanaga on Tuesday (4/15). That dinger should be an Earn Run against Imanaga -3 and his adjusted point total should be 23.90. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out!

We use official MLB stats to score our game, and the MLB isn't crediting an Earned Run to Imanaga in their official box score. It's likely that the scorer of this game isn't charging Imanaga with an Earned Run because of the two errors committed by the Cubs during Machado's at-bat in which he scored the Home Run.

  19. Weekly Matchups, do away with the two week matchups

I don't understand why you continue to do these 2 week matchups in the beginning of the season, that should be two different weeks. Also at the Allstar break, same thing why two weeks ? I've been playing on yahoo since 2001 and the Allstar break was two separate weeks back then. I understand that the season has been starting in some other country, but those games are enough to play one week with the startup on Thursday. That gives you four days plus the games played in whatever dam country that MLB decides to go to. I don't think…
