Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26
Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.
Entire list of updated players for the 25/26 season: https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/playerchanges?type=pos
As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN7057.html

commentedWe appreciate what you do. Please add PG designation for Josh Giddy. He spends a great deal of time of time as the primary ball handler and is top 2 in assists for OKC. He is widely known as a PG in several publications. https://www.lineups.com/nba/lineups/oklahoma-city-thunder (see most recent lineups on bottom of link)

commentedKevin Porter Jr of the Houston Rockets is listed in Basketball Reference as a PG, SG, SF. He was eligible for those positions last year on Yahoo. Please change him back to PG/SG/SF based on the Basketball Reference link below. Thank you. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/porteke02.html

commentedFRANZ WAGNER-add PG—thanks for the SG add, but Wagner has been playing PG for the entire season and especially because their PGs have been constantly out the line up. Suggs, Anthony, etc. have all been hurt for extended periods of time. Wagner has been the PG in their absences. Please add PG eligibility for Franz Wagner.

commentedThe NBA is almost positionless. Why does Yahoo still heavily restrict position eligibility? I understand not easily giving out PG or C eligibility, but SG-PF are interchangeable.

commentedHi, the NBA season is a month old and some of the most clear and obvious position eligibility updates (e.g. +SF Caris LeVert) have not yet been made. Could you please update player position eligibility, and do so more frequently going forward? Thank you.

commentedCaris Levert should be SF eligible
Zach Lavine should be PG eligible
Paul George should be SG eligiblePlease explain how you apparently don’t have enough evidence to support the above changes but you magically had enough data to support making Herbert Jones a sg/sf/pf, Alec Burks a pg/sg/sf (even tho he played only 1 game all season) and even worse Vit Krejci a pg/sg/sf/pf who is a no name bench player that has only played a total of 14 minutes all season? Does that make any sense to you and your so called reliable data support providers? Please elaborate more on how they all qualified for 3+ multiple positions yet Paul George and Zach Lavine and Levert don’t qualify for an extra position when all you have to do is literally turn on the tv and watch their games to see that they do

commentedZion Williamson plays the small-ball Center at different times in most games. As also indicated below - Basketball Reference, the Pelicans have ran Zion quite a bit as a C (51% as of today). Also, Josh Giddy plays more Point Guard (PG) than any other position. Please update ASAP. Thank you.
