Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26
Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.
Entire list of updated players for the 25/26 season: https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/playerchanges?type=pos
As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN7057.html

commentedI cant remember yahoo having these issues before. I would appreciate an "engineer" to help us common folk to understand the given positions. It makes drafting complex if we have players with a single position when they are being used at multiple positions by their respected teams. Someone needs to explain why porzingis has two playable positions and guys like Myles turner only can play center. Both shoot 3s both capable of playing the 5.

commentedAs of March 15, 2022 Lebron James has started at C for 26% of his games played (13 out of 50 games). Why does he not have C eligibility? If anything, he should have his SG eligibility removed and instead have C. He plays like a PG, starts most of his games at SF, and some at C. Please adjust it accordingly to his style of play and positions started for this season. Thank you.

commentedAlperen Sengun should OBVIOUSLY be given PF eligibility. He is literally listed as both a Center AND PF on the Rocket's depth chart, as well as Yahoo's depth chart for the Rockets: https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/teams/houston/roster. Per basketball reference, Sengun plays 25% of the time at PF. He also plays PF when he plays with Christian Wood, which is occurring more and more. He's 6'10" and is excels, compared to other bigmen, at defending the perimeter. He has range out to the three point line, although he is not yet consistent from there. There is no reason why he is only considered a Center on Yahoo Fantasy Basketball. Yahoo, please make this necessary correction. Sengun should be PF/C eligible. Thanks.
