Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26
Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.
Entire list of updated players for the 25/26 season: https://basketball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/nba/playerchanges?type=pos
As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN7057.html

Hey all, I know you don’t pay attention to Canadian basketball, but for the second year in a row, Scottie Barnes should be a G, F. He plays point guard and SF. Please change it.

Hi, can you please look into the following two players in relation to gaining Center eligibility in fantasy basketball:
Daniel Gafford (Wizards) is a starting C but only has PF eligibility. He is listed as such on the Yahoo! depth chart here: https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/teams/washington/roster
Kevon Looney (Warriors) is also listed as PF/C and 2nd on the Center depth chart on the Warriors page, but only has PF eligibility in fantasy. See here: https://sports.yahoo.com/nba/teams/golden-state/roster

Can you please explain how is DeMar, who started 55+ games at SF and 15 at PF only has SG-eligibility?
Karl Anthony Towns started 0 games at C last season and still maintains C-eligibility, along with Jimmy Butler starting 0 games at PF but being awarded PF-eligibility recently, and LaVine started just 21 times at SF with SF-eligibility. There are a ton of other examples, but I think DeMar is one of the most egregious, he should have the same SG, SF, PF that Paul George has.

Position eligibility for DeMar DeRozan is currently only SG, which is not correct. Your Depth Chart even shows he is SG/SF/PF and the starting SF. Please update it, thank you!

Can Center eligibility be added for Lauri Markkanen? He's 7 feet tall and does spend some time at the C position.

I see that DeRozan is listed as just "sg". DeRozan has been a small forward the past 5 years with his secondary position being power forward. Please change.

DeMar Derozan is listed as the third string PF and starting SF, why doesn't he have SF, PF instead of SG?
Jarred Vanderbilt is the third string C, why has he lost his C designation? Thanks!

Please update - it's been months. Yahoo's position eligibility updates this year have been extremely poor.

Daniel Gafford should have PF eligibility.
Evidence:
- Gafford has started 26 straight games as PF next to Porzingis.
- Today's official roster against Dallas, for instance, lists him as PF
(https://www.nba.com/game/nyk-vs-was-0022200895/box-score#box-score)He's listed as a power forward on:
- NBA.com ("forward-center")

Jeremy Sochan surly qualifies for something other than PF, he seems to play PG or SG a lot

Terance Mann should have PG. He has been the starting PG for weeks (also why they traded Jackson and Wall)

Luka Doncic should be entitled as SF
If you check NBA official web, Luka is listed as Foward-Guard, so it means he can be SF
Plz, thanks -

Donte DiVincenzo Should be entitled as SF
If you check CBS website, it clear indicated him as SF -

OKC Jalen williams should have PF eligibility. He’s been playing power forward for a while now and is also listed on your site as PF yet for fantasy he’s still only sg/sf. Your research tab depth chart also lists him as 1(PF) which makes no sense. Please add. Thanks.

Julius Randle for Center eligibility. He occasionally plays the position and has previously had the tag (for team building) and may still have it in ESPN

Daniel Gafford should also have F eligibility (F/C). He starts at PF alongside Kristaps Porzingis when Porzingis is healthy.
