Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.

As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players that haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN7057.html

Amir Coffey should have SG and PF position eligibilities. According to Basketball Reference, he plays SG and PF on 28% and 13% of his playing time, respectively.

According to Basketball Reference, Chris Boucher is spending 43% of his time at small forward this year, a big change from last year. SF eligibility would be appropriate:

Lebron and Malik have started at Center and Small Forward, respectively, for the past several games (More than 5). LeBron should gain center eligibility, while Malik should gain SF eligibility. Upvote. Thanks.

To everyone who has Lebron and feels he should be PF, please go to this Yahoo reddit thread below and comment and support it so that Yahoo can fully see how many agree. If you noticed, they don’t allow us to respond to someone else’s comment here which use to work before.

Lots of comments regarding Lebron yet still nothing. Yahoo please EXPLAIN why even in your Yahoo Daily Fantasy Contests, Lebron is listed as a PF which is correct, yet he’s still not a PF in Yahoo Fantasy??? At this point it seems no matter how much proof is provided, you’re still not gonna approve it just cuz you don’t want Lebron to have it due to personal biased reasons.

@ Yahoo the lag in adding PF eligibility for Lebron James is alarming. You should remove SG if there is a position max of 3. Lebron hasn't really played SG all season with the depth (Monk, THT, Ellington, Reaves) the Lakers have there. Lebron is almost exclusively a PF and even center now yet we see players who have played fewer minutes at positions getting additional positional eligibility.
The delay for making this update this late in the season is tangible for those of us in cash leagues who are missing out on the correct positional flexibility that should be allocated. Therefore potentially missing out on some skrilla. What makes it worse is that EVERY night in Yahoo DFS Lebron is correctly tagged as a PF. So we know making the change is possible. Maybe sync the Yahoo season long league Data Bases with the DFS Data Base so positional eligibility is managed in real time?
Come on guys.. you can do this. We believe in you!

Lauri Markkanen has started at SF almost every game he has played this year. When the Cavs are healthy he is their starting SF. They've had to shuffle their lineups quite a bit recently because of injuries and protocols.

It’s almost half the season and so much supporting evidence has already been provided to Yahoo on a daily basis but they are still choosing not to approve this request. Why? What else can you possibly need Yahoo?
Make that now 13 games that Lebron has STARTED as PF. How is this not enough proof to make Lebron PF eligible? Yahoo’s ignorance on this is terribly unfair and unjustified!
