Schedules - Tiebreaker options

Please allow for fantasy basketball commissioner capabilities to customize tiebreakers (h2h weekly matchup tiebreakers, standings tiebreakers/playoff seeding tiebreakers, and playoff matchup tiebreakers). A manager in my league missed out on playoffs in the last week of the regular season because of Yahoo's default tiebreaker settings. A tiebreaker is first based on their last week's performance, and so on back until the tie is broken. Our league wishes to make the tiebreaker just like the playoffs h2h matchup tiebreaker, where the winner of the tiebreaker goes to the winner of their h2h matchup if they already matched up in a previous week. If they have not matched up yet in the regular season, then the second tiebreaker of their last week's performance would break the tie.
It was an unfortunate situation in my league. Please consider giving commissioners accessibility to more customization! -

Need to make fantasy basketball playoffs sooner when the prime players still play and not get shutdown by non-contending teams

Hockey - Head-to-Head Suggestion
Both Playoff tiebreaker AND last seed for the playoff regular season tiebreaker need to be adjustable and the same.
It's crazy that me and someone else have the same regular season record - but he was 8th seed and I was 9th - all because of the most recent week's win percentage? Insane. I beat him *thoroughly* every time we met up during the regular season, and now I get boxed out? This has to be a setting that can be adjusted. At the very least they need to be the same.

I couldn't agree more with the below, the fact that there are posts here from 2017 tells me all I need to know about Yahoo Fantasy! and its commitment to its fans. I had a similar situation tied completely 85-85-1 between 6 and 7. I beat the guy 6-3 in our season matchup and even won more category totals across the length of the season. The fact that tiebreaker for regular season is hidden even from LMs and is noneditable is a travesty. Then you're telling me previous weeks win totals are the first thing to be examined????

Using total season points as a playoff seeding tie breaker is fine if that's the way you want to do it. However, the fact there is not an option to use Head-to-Head record as the first tie breaker is absurd. You could beat the same opponent three times in a season, but if your records were tied at the end, they'd get into the playoffs over you, and there's no option to change that. Please make this an option, our league would immediately change to that.

Yes this is a great suggestion. If you can give the option to the commissioner to pick the order of how a tiebreak is decided. That would be ideal and would end any further conflicts within leagues. For ex. For regular season and playoffs. Have the option to pick order of higher seed, most wins, head to head matchup points, etc

It is absolutely ridiculous that the tie breaker seeding heading into playoffs comes down to whoever had the better week previously, and not the actual head to head match up between the two tied teams. One team could play a bottom team (and in Yahoo public leagues many have been inactive for weeks now) and the other could be playing an active or even top seeded team. So luck of the scheduling determines seeding? I was tied for 6th with another team, I beat him in our regular season game, but he got the 6th seed because he played an inactive, bottom of the league team and I played the second seed. Obviously he’s going to do better so he got the tie breaker. Absolutely broken system. Can you imagine if the NBA was run that way? Two teams have the same record so instead of looking at their head to head matchup they just determine the higher seed by looking at how they played against the last team they played that has nothing to do with the two teams actually tied? Absolutely absurd.

Add a setting option for tiebreakers to be decided based on a statistical category such as points.

It doesn't make any sense that the head to head basketball tiebreaker begins with the previous weeks record. Should it an a measure of total scoring to date (categories won-tied, or total points, etc). This tiebreak has been the source of some mild controversy in my league in the past and I'm surprised this hasn't changed given our football pool tiebreak is total scoring.

Leagues should be allowed to choose what tiebreaker works best for them. Right now Yahoo!s regular season tiebreakers are overly prescriptive, hard to find, and leave an important aspect of the league restricted by yahoo! rules.
Commissioners should be allowed to choose from a menu of tiebreaker options including the current rules, H2H regular season records, total points, or choose from a hierarchy of statistical categories. No matter the options- there should be SOME sort of choice allowed to leagues in this crucial aspect of the game.

I would like to know why in Basketball the tiebreaker format is different than other sports?
When two or more teams in a division finish with the same overall record atop the division, the tie breaker is:
Overall winning percentage.
Division winning percentage.
Total Points (Head to Head - Points leagues only).
Highest winning percentage in the last week of the season.
Highest winning percentage in the second to last week of the season.
The comparison continues until the tie is broken or no more weeks remain to compare.
Random "coin flip."How come in Hockey if 2 or more teams in a division finish with the same overall record, the tie will be broken using the following order:
Overall winning percentage.
Division winning percentage.
Total Points (Head to Head - Points leagues only)
Total number of Wins.
Highest winning percentage in Week 23.
Highest winning percentage in Week 22.
Highest winning percentage in Week 21.
Highest winning percentage in Week 20.
Highest winning percentage in Week 19.
Highest winning percentage in Week 18.
Highest winning percentage in Week 17.
Highest winning percentage in Week 16.
Highest winning percentage in Week 15.
Highest winning percentage in Week 14.
Highest winning percentage in Week 13.
Highest winning percentage in Week 12.
Highest winning percentage in Week 11.
Highest winning percentage in Week 10.
Highest winning percentage in Week 9.
Highest winning percentage in Week 8.
Highest winning percentage in Week 7.
Highest winning percentage in Week 6.
Highest winning percentage in Week 5.
Highest winning percentage in Week 4.
Highest winning percentage in Week 3.
Highest winning percentage in Week 2.
Highest winning percentage in Week 1.Why does Basketball not factor in the total number of wins before going to the win percentage in the last week of the season?
Please explain as this doesn't make any sense.
