Improvements
Hello!
Looking forward to the 2026 fantasy draft.
We are a big group of 20 friends playing and we have discussed back and forth about some settings/improvements for the upcoming event.Is it possible to add a slot for skaters that is under the age of 23? (born in the year 2003 or later) ?
Is it possible to add one slot "Utility slot" that you can fill with all possible positions, excepts goalies?
And can we add one more categorie. 5vs5 player points (full strenght points), not including PP or Empty net goals.

When your league renews next season, the commissioner can add this utility spot by following these steps: Commissioner tools >> Rosters & Scoring >> Edit Roster Positions. All positions except goalies can be put into the utility spot.

Can we get a PWHL fantasy league for this coming season? ('25-'26)

I would like to see your playoffs take place three weeks before the NHL playoffs due to quality players being rested for the actual NHL playoffs.

In your Fantasy Hockey rankings you need to take a good look at goalie rankings. I see goalies who have played 1 game ranked in the top 100
Some of these goalies are not even currently playing in the NHL, or have been demoted. Their rankings need to be tied in to number of games played relative to the number of games played by their team.
Thank you for your feedback regarding fantasy hockey rankings for goalies. In category leagues, rankings are determined based on how players fare in each scoring category. For rate statistics like GAA and SV%, a goalie could hypothetically have one really good game where they rank highly in those categories and this would help their ranking even if they do not play in any more games. Their ranking in the cumulative stat categories would not be good, but their ranking in the rate stat categories would give them a boost in their overall ranking. We appreciate your feedback regarding this and we will pass it along to our team!

An "All Time" tab showing our Top 3 finishes each year and how yourself finished that year.
yahoo!sports uses this tab in fantasy football and baseball, why not hockey?

Next games in game log
When selecting a hockey player and look at the game log, it could be nice to see the next 4 or 5 games instead of only 3, it would help to decide which player to add/drop. It happens often a team plays more than 3 games a week.

Total Games for each Fantasy Team on Match Up Page was removed - please bring back
It appears that the total of number of games each Fantasy team has in the current match up has been removed from the matchup page.
This makes Fantasy hockey worse as you now cannot effectively compete in the matchup by defending against or seeking advantage by rostering as many ( or more ) player games than your opponent. Where is the logic or benefit in taking away information that was available for us to play the game with. Bring it back.

Remove the red "No Game" label and go back to what it was before.
Guys, please remove the red "No Game" label from players without a game. Really bad UX to have red there and for IR, O, etc. This was fixing something that was not broken.

nhl start times in MST/MDT only on league overview page
instead of displaying nhl start times in mountain time zone on league overview page, why not align it with team or league setting?
All of the timestamps you'll see in Yahoo Fantasy, like draft and game times, are based on the time zone associated with your account by default. While you can't pick a specific time zone, you can change your preferences to automatically detect your current time zone each time you visit the site.
- Click the My Team tab.
- Click Edit Team Settings.
- Toggle on Set time zone automatically so that game times are displayed based on your detected location.

Better Attention To IR Eligible Players
I have found that every year there is at least 1 player on my roster who is out multiple weeks, but never becomes IR eligible when they should be given the option.
ie right now Luke Hughes is out at least 6-8, Yahoo itself has this info listed on him. Yet he is given that option. Just frustrating the attention level given.Hi Wes,
Injury designations are controlled by our data provider. In fantasy hockey, the IR is used for players who are on the NHL’s injured reserve list.
If you're in a league that uses an IR+ spot, players listed with IR, DTD (Day to day), Covid-19, or O (Out) designations are eligible for that roster position.

player history show full date not just the day for transactions within last week.
When selecting the "news" icon next to the players name, the History option -
Currently when a player has a transaction in the past week it only shows the day of the week i.e. Sunday. It would be more beneficial to show the full date - Sunday 3/16 or Sunday March 16th - something like that since the schedule is listed with that style.
This would benefit across all fantasy games when researching player transactions.Hi,

IR
how come I cant put frederick anderson on IR?
Players must be officially placed on their team's IR in order to obtain IR status in fantasy hockey. The Hurricanes have not placed Andersen on their IR.

Bring back the drop down menus and the classic roster changes. Your latest changes completely diminish yahoo fantasy sports.
The drop down menus have completely disappeared, as well as the ability to make roster changes the classic way. If this is the future of yahoo fantasy, I’m out for future seasons

Thanks to the YAHOO Developers for restoring the today "Opp" column. The app is now much more user friendly then the prior update. A few extra like the red "No Game" and the "X" for goalies not playing were just bonus's for users. All users really appreciate your support and reacting to user feedback. Thanks again.

Revert recent changes to the "Status" filter on the player list webpage
There was a recent change to the UI on the "Status" dropdown filter on the player list page that created grouped sub-menus for "Fantasy Teams" and "NHL Teams" - PLEASE REVERT THIS back to the single large list. The sub-menus are challenging to navigate (often losing the dropdown list because the mouse path needs to be quite precise) and often require scrolling down (on the list and entire page) and back up to select and then apply the filter in a way that the previous list did not.
