1. another day, another irritating non-closing ad

   Once again, there is a Macbook ad, a LARGE one, at the top of my home page, and once again it has NO CLOSE/MINIMIZE button - how many times do you need to be told to monitor this NON-STANDARD situation and somehow prevent it from happening ??? So once again I must say (type) - WTF???

3. OOPS !!! My bad !!!

   I said earlier the close/minimize button took me to 'why this ad?' and then didn't close.minimize when I returned to the big ad on the home page. However, when i looked more closely, I discovered the neatest little trick you or the ad is pulling !!! The close/minimize button is not the right-most 'box' in the ad, it isn't even a 'button' at all, but 2 right arrows that take you to the 'why this ad' thingy, What a laugh I had at myself when I realized my error (HA HA). The 'close/minimize' is actually an rectangular box to the left of the 'ad choice' arrows. Who woulda thunk that simply DISREGARDING a standard placement of window navigation buttons could fool a guy like me with 22 years of experience with everything from OS to client server technology. Boy was my face red !!! BTW does your staff include a rules enforcement officer/position who should have caught this kind of trickery BEFORE it made a fool of a customer??? As usual, I conclude with WTF??? !!!

4. make it sothat one can actually get problems resolved that are not on your list

   Having a new ISP Yahoo is asking for account verification by requesting confirmation to old long since forgotton e-mail account. Despite having User name and login I can no longer access yahoo. All attemps to get resolution online failed and no mechanism except this was found to request assistance from Yahoo.

5. Smart customer education ???

   I'm back with more comments on your 'brain trust(?)' Those big ads at the top of the home page that wouldn't close or minimize !!! Now when I click on the close/minimize button a NEW tab/window opens that tries to explain 'why our ads' and how to avoid some or all of them. BUT when I close the NEW 'ad' and return to the home page, the original LARGE ad is still there, NOT closed and NOT minimized !!! All we are asking for is your site and the products on it to OBEY our choices, so again I say - WTF ??? P.S. I am beginning to doubt whether your personnel department is at all serious about candidates level of education, they appear to only accept/hire people who think 'outside the box' (or is it 'off the planet' ???)

8. I would be willing to pay a yearly fee to stay with Yahoo....IF we had more control over ads, story's and or reporters.

   I would be willing to pay a yearly / monthly fee with Yahoo, if we have more control on advertising ( blocking ), story's and even reporters........right now yahoo is making money on junk / garbage advertising which really ****** off a lot of people.

10. Closing large ads

    We should have the option to not see the large ad after it has been seen once. If I close it, I should not be seeing it AGAIN that day. They are more than annoying and most time interfere with the rest of the page.

    Yahoo allows racists,war mongers,and religious zealots of all ilks to post unfettered,yet when I,a Canadian,post an opinion, an educated statement, or an irrefutable fact,if the editors at Yahell think it might offend someone,they edit it or make me edit it,or they remove it entirely. I recently made an educated statement in regards to how we treat the First Nations people in this country, stated facts that had been checked BEFORE I used them,and was neither vulgar nor combatant,yet my comment has been removed . This needs to stop at once or we will soon become just like the US,which espouses free speech,then dis-allows it when what is being said is derogatory or defamatory,or in some way disagrees with the "amurikan way". Canada,it's media, and everything public MUST remain free and without censorship to CITIZENS if we are to remain the greatest country in the world.

    I don't care how much extra the sponsors negotiate or pay you contractually, there is NO excuse for having a HUGE ad at the top of my home page that has NO 'button' that allows me to minimize the ad or close it (like the current Macbook ad) ... BTW should you change your 'policy' to do this, please also change your home page HTML/XML to obey that 'button' choice each and every time I return there ... thx for listening

19. Yahoo has too many ads such as that answer. Which is becoming too irritating.

    The answer ads are becoming far too irritating. I am going to not use Yahoo if this continues. I don't have this problem with Google. Or MSN. So is Yahoo so greedy for ad revenue?
