I see Yahoo has stopped free speech. Welcome to the world of the Marxist regime.
Doc Adviser commented
"Temporarily suspended Comments" was a cheap way to fool to actually say " Permanently ".
Stopped comments to please and appease a minority few. They don't matter. Contribute nothing.
Never understood this : USA - Free Country, Free Speech. Yet, if someone comments about someone's Race, Religion, Color that is regarded as Racist. Then what is FREE speech ? None.
No deleting of email account or handing ones mobile numbers ( conveniently labelled as 'code' sent for verification ) to Govt authorities to trace individual.
Mobile phone is the best tracking device to monitor and locate an individual.
"Hi, please let us know how we can improve further." Read below :
"VERIZON Didn't do Nothing to improve "further". Scared about "Comments" section. Negative Feedback. Shares drop. Not Public opinion. Wash Hands Off Sensitive matters. Bothered about own investment and public image. NY Stock Market Share Prices.
OK, lets see what NEW Owners front Guru Gowrappan can do ? Puppet to Dance to the tunes of new owners or have a say to the voices of the majority public ? ( Subscribers - what they WANT ).
Guru means GOD in Indian. Lets see if this God can answer the prayers of the followers. TRUE GOD.
Followers wishes : " BRING THE COMMENTS BACK ASAP".
YES, here's how you can IMPROVE further... LISTEN TO THE READERS COMMENTS!! Knock, Knock, HELLO !!! Anyone Home ?
The "FREE" Press / Media always lament when they are "muzzled" by 'Dictatorship' Governments.
Yet, it is the same "FREE" Press / Media that "muzzles" its readers and viewers, by neither allowing "free" comments nor “freely” allowing to voice one's views and opinions. Hierocracy.
Hope the 'new' owners, Yahoo EMEA Ltd, will begin a dawn of a 'new' era.
Desired suggestions :
1 ) FREE SPEECH irrespective of Race, Religion, Caste, Color or Creed.
Even in the choicest of invectives. Dont worry about what Whites, Blacks, Browns, Yellows,
Green, Orange, Purple feel about comments against them.
( "The opinions expressed are solely those of the commentators, and not necessarily shared by the 'owners' of the site" - SIMPLE )
2 ) Get rid of the "Report Abuse" button
3 ) Get rid of the "Flag As Inappropriate".
4 ) No Moderators to EDIT or DELETE comments.
( Biased Moderators of Race, Religion, Color, Personal views, etc will edit / delete opinions not
agreeable to their own personal views ).
Especially the Young, who know nothing about anything, world carrying them on shoulders.
5 ) “SAFE PLACE” ? Let people have a war of words online, than a physical war on the streets. NO place is "SAFE" nowadays.
YAHOO Comments 'were' the BEST in the world. Others have tried, but cant match. NO comparison to Yahoo at all. Yahoo was BEST!
THAT is FREE SPEECH in its TRUE essence. Be the FIRST to take the LEAD, let others follow.
Set the Ball rolling.....

Agree. Some of the news stories are such atrociously biased journalism that they really need to be ridiculed. MSM trying to force narratives and calling it a 'safe environment' by denying responses. Utterly insidious action.

Couldn't comment on Gareth Snowflake and his bunch of woke, kneeling SJW's so I will do it here.

Why do I have read about the EU demanding access to British made vaccines and NOT being able to comment . Who do you think you are at Yahoo, give us our comment section back because the EU are morons .
Yahoo & Verizon and smug have ruined the internet !!
Alan Hedges commented
You post individuals' Twitter comments as news, why can you not accept the same as comments which can at least be commented on and supported or criticised by others. Bring back comments but please put the national flag beside contributors' username so.that we can tailor remarks, mine is 🏴

2021 and still no comments!
I will visit from time to time to see if they are restored but I fear that Yahoo do not wish to be a platform for public opinion :(

Because bad journalists don't want people calling them out for ..... well being bad journalists, the real problem is scam adverts because it's very obvious they don't even know what ads they show as a large portion are scams.
Richard Phillips commented
The RT News website still has an active comments function.

Crying shame about the comments - I used to enjoy the comments just as much as the articles, it would seem the sharing of ideas and views isn't fashionable any more, or perhaps it's more sinister, and Yahoo has an left wing / liberal agender.
Trevor Peck commented
Allow free speech for all but moderate strictly, at the moment you only allow those in the public eye free speech, this isn't democracy.
A certain country in Europe did this in the early years of the 20th Century.
Stop this disgraceful action and allow free speech
chris edmundson commented
Totally agree, Its a disregard for peoples right to free speach. It is the minority liberals who Yahoo have bent over backwards to appease and not the majority of normal people.

I have noticed there is no comment section on the articles. Have they stopped them? Thanks.
