Feature /Capability to Report Suspicious Emails - From Alex Brobbey 22.07.2025
Hi
Having been with yahoo for a number of years, it is notable that there has also been an increment in the number of scam emails received across the board, and in practical terms can be detrimental where vulnerable groups of individuals are concerned, where a simple click of a deep link might redirect them to a fake destination or dark web. In my own experience, I had received an email bearing the brand of Disney, but on further inspection, the domain was Bocca, which has no affiliation to Disney. I was compelled to think that since Disney is such a popular brand ( having an account myself) and many consumers relying on them for their entertainment, it might be worth considering having an option or feature where customers can report such emails as suspicious, rather than simple delete- which does not provide any such data to frauds prevention agencies or to yahoo themselves. The unsubscribe option is also flawed with it own dangers as a click on a deep-link or URL might actually take a customer to another website where they might be placed at further risks. I was wondering or proposing the option of a feature which might allow consumers to REPORT SUSPICOUS EMAIL possibly via a right click of the mouse.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this suggestion.
Many Thanks
Mr Brobbey
