The new homepage stinks.
First you change the homepage on my phone. Now you change it on my computer. Stop trying to be avant-garde. You're just hurting your company. I implore you to change the homepage back. I always used Yahoo as my search engine. If I had free time, I would just sit and mindlessly browse the news. Now I can't do that. I guess, for now, I'm switching to Google. At least they care enough about their consumers to keep the same homepage. Also, if you'll notice, I've already changed my email provider to gmail. I hope you're prepared to lost a lot of money.

Sorry Yahoo...But after about 15 years of sticking faithfully with you I guess it's time to move on. Your new homepage is probably one of, if not the worst homepage on the internet now. It is unfortunate that you do not listen to your consumers and think you have to change things because you think the web should be a mobile app. It is not! If, after hundreds of thousands of people or more leave your company you decide to "come to your senses" and return the functionality of the homepage to the people I may return. Quit trying to appease the "tweens" and appease the majority!!

The new format sucks. It is NOT user friendly. Who did you try this out on? Must have been a masochist.

Not sure what you guys are waiting on. It should be fairly obvious by now that you're new homepage is really bad (trying to be nice) and you're losing users by the minute. How long will it take to switch back... or at minimum, allow us to scroll through the top items. It's bad enough that your 'top stories' are so poorly selected and editorialized, showing your obvious political leanings... but now you've removed functionality. Not sure who's running this segment of the business, but this was not smart. Moving on...

I agree, this new homepage layout is terrible!!! I am no longer able to scroll through the news at the top, and I hate it. I'm ready to find a new home page.

This is at least the second (if not 3rd) time yahoo has tried this home page format, and every time there has been HUGE negative feedback and backlash. It is completely user UN-friendly with no ways to customize, choose to opt out, re-configure. Users send the exact same complaints and requests/suggestions for improvement every time, but are ignored and this awful page is launched anyway, with no warning and no improvements. Just lots and lots of users abandoning yahoo as a home page, which means tons of lost money for yahoo and more work for the users who are keeping yahoo mail. The only changes I see to this launch is that the sponsored stories outnumber genuine news stories and the "sections" aren't done right. "Business" section has sports stories, no way to get local news, weather....Terrible terrible terrible.

I concur with all these other unhappy Yahoo users. Did you even test this new design with real people? I think not. You changed something that was not broken. I will give you ONE WEEK TO CHANGE IT BACK, or I will be long gone. So disappointed in your crummy decisions. WE are your customers — listen to us!

Really Yahoo...'decision makers'! You should have done a beta test first. Get it together and give users the choice. The new LOOK sucks. I would like to scroll thru the articles, not be subjected to what YOU think I want to see. Ultimately, this move will hurt the 'bottom line'. If that is all you care about, then LISTEN!!!!!!!!!

I can only agree to all the other comments below: The new homepage is a pain to use. One cannot find ANYTHING and just this AM I tried to click on an article and all I received was a blank page with one sentence that was not he homepage under the picture, aka the headline. What are you thinking??? This is the worst homepage I have ever seen. I used to read/scroll the news to see what's happening or what I am interested in reading more of and now...nothing. I too am going to change my homepage as so many others have already to Google.

You lost a user, only mail now. The new Home Page format stinks. The scrolling format was 100 times better. Guess, I'll be heading to Google . . .

I'm stuck with the email because I've used it for too many years now to change, BUT I AM CHANGING MY HOME PAGE!
I'll only come back to Yahoo to access my email. If you folks had half a brain you would give people a choice between retaining the old page or switching to the new abortionpage.

Just checked google news and confirmed that it appears way better than current yahoo site. Seems like yahoo is determined to keep losing long term visitors. Bye Bye Yahoo!!!

new home page sucks..... if I can't get yahoo's previous home page, then I might as well switch to google news.. since learning curve will be same on both sites and at least googles does not have a messed up design like yahoo's new home page.

Yahoo.com has been my exclusive homepage since 1998. Your new page design stinks. As others have stated, the loss of the availability to choose news categories and browse aimlessly is a big drawback for me. I would daily browse the "Local" news category. That option appears to be completely gone now. I will have to consider finding a new homepage now.

I've been reviewing Google & other search engines since my Yahoo homepage changed yesterday. As others have said, I liked being able to quickly view news headlines & open only those I wanted to review. Attempting to scroll to the bottom of the new homepage that keeps expanding is a waste of my time and Extremely frustrating.
