Stop Posting Reader comments
Please stop posting reader comments. I’ve been a Yahoo! User for 20 years but am not going to continue using this site because of ugly, racist, stupid comments. Also, I’m certain I’ve read comments posted by Russia/Chinese trolls.
They only serve to diminish your news..

Commenting on the articles is the one and only reason to use Yahoo. Yahoo should make it a requirement all of their articles must allow commenting. It's the only source I've found where ideas can be shared and people can either like or not like what someone has to say. Eliminating this one good thing about Yahoo will eliminate the reason for going to their site. If you don't like the comment sections then don't click on them. I understand there are many far out left wing Russian and Chinese trolls and bots commenting on here but in todays age that's to be expected unless some way can be found to shut down the internet in Russia, China and other subversive left wing countries.

On a number of stories/dicussions, the comments have gotten very toxic. In addition, you see plenty of off topic comments (spam ads, etc)
