Make Yahoo! dominant again by becoming "the place for privacy".
There are alot of us out here looking for alternatives to the creepy big brother policies of Google and FaceBook. If Yahoo! were to re-position themselves as "the place for privacy" and legitimately deliver I suspect they would regain significant marketshare.
Roadmap:
Design an easy-to-use "opt-in" mechanism allowing users to choose the ads, news and products that they want to see. Perhaps even a configurable "what do I need this week" interface that allows users to let Yahoo! know the product(s) or service(s) they need right away.
Campaign:
"You tell us what you want to see. We never track you... period."
Yahoo! robust suite of products is best positioned to become a viable alternative to the big brother models of Google, FaceBook and others... Perhaps even a social media platform built upon a similar opt-in mechanism rather than algorithms designed to monitor everything a user posts.
