Block foreign trolls
I am a long time user of Yahoo. I read and comment on your articles daily. I am very concerned with the many comments are clearly from bots and trolls from foreign countries and posted to create division or spread dangerous propaganda. Most of these comments are on politically oriented articles. Most of these are likely from foreign origins or routed through proxy servers. To protect American from foreign influence (as google, facebook, etc are doing) Yahoo! should block comments sent through proxy servers and only accept direct server to server postings.
I'm a computer engineer. There appears to be lots of "zombie accounts", i.e. bot accounts being controlled from outside central sources. They are probably compromised regular accounts that are "borrowed" once in a while to post comments. You see accounts posting comments days, weeks, months and even years apart, pretty much with the same political themes.

To weed some of them out, consider the idea of forcing people to use their real country or city where their IP is located in all posts for the public to see. And either hire or ask for volunteer moderators to clean up the cesspool that is most of your forums, especially the political ones.

The more division Yahoo can create among visitors, the longer they stay on the site and the more clicks they do.
Beyond the monetary reasons they do it, Liberal news outlets want to contune and raise the division among people as much as possible, then they will be able to say, see we told you so, and sadly many will be foolish enough to fall for it.
