If you show a video, I want to hear the words, I dont watch videos to read what is said. If you want me to read it, print words on the [page and skip the non video pretending to be a video

I'm baffled that this idea has gotten ranked 238th but the dozen comments asking for closed captioning have been ignored. Roger is right, a video without any sound doesn't need captioning. However, the vast majority of the videos I see but don't bother watching DO have sound and NO captions, thus I skip them; there's no point to the video if you can't hear the audio, when it's all just voice-over narration nicked from TV news.
