I read the suggestion of limited media interviews after certain performances,
and I believe that this should be left to the competitor to decide. Maybe
after a great performance a person would not want the mics and cameras
shoved in their faces. This may be a good way to narrow the media's
control over everything. I feel that so much happens because the media
decides what and who they will report on and we encourage the freedom of the press but it is time we do not take the media and put
them in charge-you should decide what and where. That would start
a new tradition. We have this embedded belief that we have to talk
to the media - we do not, TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR INTERVIEWS.
