I'm done. Your auto-moderation algorithms are absurd.
Yahoo, nearly everyone posting here is an adult. If someone is afraid of having their opinion criticized, then they shouldn't be posting online. There is NO reason for such heavy moderation when it comes to comments. It is unbelievable how many of my comments are flagged by the system for seemingly no reason.
It's clear that the majority of the moderation is automated. I'm not sure what algorithms your auto-moderation system follows, but it needs to be toned down. Every other comment I make is being flagged or simply automatically rejected by the system. Meanwhile, people are able to cleverly word their comments to evade the system and call people all kinds of names and insults.
Your moderation system is flagging innocuous comments while ignoring many comments that are actually offensive in nature.
It is super frustrating wasting your time typing a comment, only for the system to reject it. And then you have to retype the comment and figure out what phrase or word the auto-moderation system doesn't like. It's actually obnoxious and not fun. If the system told you what part of the comment is actually being flagged, then it would be a bit more tolerable.
Honestly? I'm done posting here. This is the worst moderation I've experienced on a public commenting platform. This is simply not an enjoyable experience because of the heavy-handed moderation and I'll be spending my time posting elsewhere.
