  3. improve saving stock screener

When user create stock screener, it should be allowed to save based on existing saved screener. This can be done by either:
    1. Allow Duplicate/copy saved stock screener and then user edit the duplicated screener as needed and can saved with different name.
    or
2.When saving, allow 'save as' option so when the screener name is different, it should create new screener and if the screener name is the same, it will overwrite current screener.

  5. Make "Litigation" Tab for securities litigation or other news and press releases

All would agree the prior news feed was extremely spammy with the bombardment of litigation press releases, but rather than remove them completely, just make a separate tab for them so viewers can choose to see or not see them. Although spammy, the content can be very useful for investors seeking compensation. No need to cut off the nose to spite the face.

  6. Record of who thumbs up/down or (falsely) reports abuse

Please include who reports our post as Abuse and who thumbs down posts. I can post a quotation directly form the FDA or refer someone discussing compassionate use requests to the medical directors and receive thumbs down. I understand being disliked for challenging a concept, for which 10 years of experience as statistical programmer and a PhD in Epidemiology would seem to qualify me, but killing messages because you cannot argue against them successfully distorts one record and reputation. Right now, Yahoo! would seem to have a critical mass off users, but such a situation would seem to threaten its…

  8. Dividend Payout Graph

It would be nice if Yahoo Finance also had a bar graph which showed total expected dividends by month. If you could somehow incorporate a grid below which showed the stocks and the expected dividend payment for any given month.

  14. Financials: Income Statement BOLD Font for Operating Income or Loss & Net Income

The format for Financials on the Income statement is different from the US versus the Canadian. If you check the Financials: Income Statement is using a BOLD Font for Operating Income or Loss & Net Income in CA.Financials.Yahoo but the US does not. It is much easier to read the Canadian version because of this small formatting difference. Can you please update the US side to match Canada?

  19. Cost basis assistance

I’m not sure if Yahoo! fully understood my question. It seems like you might have the information to compile dividend reinvestment to a stock overtime so that’s all we could figure out the basis of a stock. For example, for AT&T you had a chart going back to the 1980s which is the only place I’ve seen that information. If you happen to know the dividend reinvestment prices, you could actually calculate what one share would be worth over time. You may want to charge extra for that information, but people would pay a lot because it’s impossible to get that…

  20. Matlab access historical Data

Hello, I'm a retail trader but my trading style is heavily statistical. I wrote some code in MATLAB to grab historical data from Yahoo Finance for about 1000 stocks and run my statistical analysis on a daily basis. Lately however, about half the symbols queried return no data. It is inconsistent but in general significant amounts of data is missing when I query more than 250 symbols or so. Does the Yahoo Finance server have a limit on the amount of symbols that can be queried in a given amount of time from an IP address? If so, does Yahoo…
