Cost basis assistance
I’m not sure if Yahoo! fully understood my question. It seems like you might have the information to compile dividend reinvestment to a stock overtime so that’s all we could figure out the basis of a stock. For example, for AT&T you had a chart going back to the 1980s which is the only place I’ve seen that information. If you happen to know the dividend reinvestment prices, you could actually calculate what one share would be worth over time. You may want to charge extra for that information, but people would pay a lot because it’s impossible to get that information otherwise and people need it for tax purposes when they sell shares that have been held for a very long time.
