Put back the add contacts from the email.
It takes TOO MUCH TIME TO ADD ADDRESSES NOW.
I have emails going to my trash folder and spam folder that should not be there.

So I client said, "Why are you using this old email address?" When I scroll over it, I get a "add to your contacts" option. WHAT??? How is that possible when I just emailed him with that address???
OK, so when I touch the email he WANTS me to use, I get a "edit this address" option, but when I search my contacts, I can't find it.
Are you serious???? This is idiocy.
What is Yahoo doing??? -

Please, please, please return the ADD CONTACT and CONTACT LISTS functions to their previously available options. It used to be possible to:
-- click on the contact information for a received email and automatically have that sender added to your contacts
-- while adding a new contact automatically (as described above), choose to add that contact to selected contact lists (in addition to automatically being added to the "all contacts" list)
-- arrange contact lists alphabetically by name of list
-- find out what lists a particular contact belongs to (without going into each list individually to see if that contact is on that list)
-- add a contact to (or delete contact from) one or more lists quickly and easily by simply checking (or unchecking) boxes for those listsThese are functions that I find essential for effectively operating my business; I really hope you will bring them back!

When I switched to New and added a contact list and then switched back to Classic, it's not there. I logged out and back in and classic does not show it but New mail does.

Amazing that some dunce made the decision to remove that option.

I am so frustrated with the changes to "Contacts". I used to be able to click on a contact and not only see the lists that email address are already assigned to but be able to easily assign it to other lists by checking the boxes. So much simpler. I also miss being able to have the contacts pull up on the full page as opposed to a little column on the right side. Yes, it was annoying that a new tab used to open up when you clicked on the "Contacts" tab, but this new system just complicates the use of lists. Highly inconvenient!

I have 100 contacts on my list, but several keep dropping off each time I click on all contacts to be added. I just noticed this week that several are missing the letters I send out. Please help! People are not getting the information I need to get to them. I will change email I use if this doesn't get fixed.

For as long as I can remember, if you got an email from a new email address, you had the option to click on that email address and add it directly into your contacts… but now, you have to copy the email address, bring up contacts, and add it that way. This is a huge step backwards! Please restore the very useful ability that had always previously existed!

Let me add a contact from senders email!!! Like we could before. What morons you are to take it away!! Pure stupidity. Dumb. Do you get that?
No brains.
Think about it.
Think.
Is that impossible for you???
-
LAM commented
Until latest update, we could do this.
Yahoo are you insane??? Why take away a necessary feature THAT USED O BE HERE!!! FOR YEARS!!!
t's insane how difficult it is to add a contact. I should be able to hover over an email address or even right click it (whatever the case may be) and just choose to add to contacts and then immediately have a link to "Edit Contact", so I can add more information if I want. The fact that we even have to vote on this is preposterous. (Apologies this is a copy from below - Yahoo **** so bad iand they NEVER listen; not worth the time to write something new)

Add option to Auto Generated Card (that pops up when you hover over an email address in the address bar) that enables you to add someone to you address book by clicking a button rather than having to open Contacts and add everything manually.

This is typical of Yahoo..breaking something that isn't broken to begin with! You cannot add to contacts from an incoming email or directly, by going to your contact list?! Typical for Yahoo who sources all their coders from outside the US. What a joke this company(?) really is.

You can't save a contact from an email directly into the contact list, and you can't view the WHOLE contact list at one time (you have keep displaying more parts of the alphabet to view the whole list which doesn't help when you want to scroll and scan for a contact when you aren't sure how someone was listed and whether their name was spelled right when entered, etc.). Also, the format is hideously cramped. Take a page from Gmail and this thing actually FUNCTION and stop trying to add lipstick to a pig.
