there was a reason why i switched back to the old mail & held out for quite a long time before you automatically updated the new mail layout for me. i liked it basic & the way it was before. granted, the new layout & everything looks nice, but i'd rather have everything just simple & basic with the same features of attaching documents or anything that is needed to send an email to someone.

(My comment prior to this seems to have been edited and not by me. So I'm going to try again and see if it comes out the way I originally wrote it.)
You know, I understand why you all need to change things up on a regular basis. I think it's because YOU'RE bored, frankly. And you're being paid to come up with great new IDEAS! But just give some thought to this: When one is happy with the choice of email vendors (and there are Many out there, including Gmail, a potent rival, et al), sure, enhance the product by offering more components, perhaps. But changing the visual aspects and other components without a choice? That's okay too, but at least give those of use who have been happy for YEARS with your wonderfully FREE email service the option to keep what we've got. 'Cause we LIKED it! Ya know? Kind of like the Classic Coke. Or kind of like what you did before with the "classic yahoo" email look. Obviously there were enough people who like it that encouraged you to keep it. And so you did. For years.
Personally more choices do not add to my day. They create more tension. With more options, come more decisions that one has to make. KISS (Keep IT Simple Stupid). Or should I change that to KISP. Keep It Simple Please.
Am always grateful, however, that Yahoo provides free email for me. So, exactly how much do I have a right to ***** moan and complain? Just sorry for the change. But then, so few people, I think, really LIKE change. When we're comfortable - we want to stay that way. Just sayin'.
If I were to make a suggestion as far as the visual aspect: the light blue center frame highlighting of the actual email messages in contract with the right and left frames just doesn't work. It's jarring actually. My suggestion would be to highlight the center frame perhaps with the same color as the right and left panels chosen by the user. Also, you've moved everything on the left (contacts, calendar, notepad [and eliminated the newsfeed I guess] to the right side. What? To suddenly fill up that blank right panel? Means we have to move from left to right. Just keep it simple. Keep it all on the left, like it was.
Thanks for all you do. Even if I don't like the changes.

Why do we need to accept the new mail?
The old one was good enough.
Leave it at that. -
