How can we improve New Mail?

I have spent an hour trying to find some real help. All there is lots of loops and canned non-answers. I have a real problem & no help.

I am unable to access addresses on the to line. I put in a letter and that is all I get, a letter -- no list of addresses for that letter.

    How about a response and some real help instead of assigning an astronomical number
