    They could offer a setting of "Automatically delete Trash items after x days", and let us pick the x, or never. Or at least make the no-choice automatic delete longer than a week, say 3 months.

    I was wondering why the items in my deleted folder disappears. This posting confirms that it's a feature of Yahoo Mail

    Agreed - I want to be the one to decide when to empty my trash.

    Spam is being automatically deleted. Is this a application issue or does the ability to turn this off exist?

    I strongly recommend to avoid the automatic cancellation of the emails from the trash after some time.
