autocomplete auto suggest Contacts compose
Auto suggest contacts should have the following clear options (a) completely turn off this feature, (b) delete individual items from the list, and (c) have an option to click an auto-saved contact and add it to contact list... as a recent yahoo mail! subscriber I figured there would be more options once I'm a paying customer, but there aren't... the above suggestions are very common features in paid-email services... you need to catch up or I will leave the service before next renewal

While Yahoo says you can "x" a contact auto-suggestion and supposedly never see it again, the truth is it doesn't go away entirely... I entered the wrong email address in the "To" and sent an email once, and ever since, this incorrectly spelled email address keeps coming up as an Autofill contact suggestion in Yahoo Mail's Search bar and in the "To" field when composing a new email. The bogus email has literally one letter different which makes it all the more difficult to recognize which email is the incorrect one over time. Seeing this I "x"ed the bogus email contact when I was composing a new email on Yahoo Mail Desktop and ever since it no longer appears in the "To" field there. However, it still appears in Yahoo Mail's Search bar even though I made sure the Contact is deleted from my Contacts as well as all email correspondence involving said bogus email address is deleted. Furthermore, the bogus email address still currently gets suggested in the "To" field when composing a new email in my Yahoo Mail Android App and there's no "x" to get rid of it there.

Does anyone at Yahoo actually read the suggestions? This auto-suggest contacts is a disaster since it is so easy to send copies to people by mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I agree that the auto-contact feature needs to be disabled. It is an annoyance and not useful to me. Literally, most of the auto-suggest contacts are NOT contacts that I have saved in my address book, they do NOT exist in my address book. These contacts are pulled from group emails, I do not know the other recipients and do not need auto suggest to suggest them to me. For example, I have a child in school and a former school Principal has sent multiple group emails to ALL parents, so Yahoo now suggests 200+ contacts to me. I do not need the email addresses of these other parents. I am capable of scrolling through contacts and selecting the contact or contacts that I need to compose my email. Please disable this feature!! I am ready to permanently use g-mail as my work related email account! I have had a yahoo account for over a decade and I am very disappointed.
