keeps deleting emails that I haven't read
When going through my emails I always mark as read before deleting them. Have noticed more and more emails being sent to trash that I haven't read, but have seen in my inbox. No idea how they are getting there. Really frustrating as I have to go through my inbox and trash folders just to make sure I've not missed anything. Will have to move to Outlook. They don't seem to change format ever 2 minutes and I don't have this issue there

In case you do not have any incoming mail filters set-up on your Yahoo account, please check the incoming mail filters, and junk mail filter, in the mail applications that you are using (e.g. Outlook, Mac Mail, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, mobile email application).

I have not set up any filters and Yahoo has decided that EVERY EMAIL I get should go to my trash folder and not the in box. Very annoying, unable to change how to restore new mail go to my in box and not the trash folder!!!!!

Suddenly emails that I have been receiving from approved contacts for years are being sent to trash,,,and spam emails that I've blocked or moved to trash keep reappearing in my inbox,,,I wanted to ask someone why this is happening but it seems all I can do is post an idea???? This is a joke!!!!!

Improve your algorithims to stop sending mails straight to deleted folder. Send to inbox or spam but not to deleted!

Some incoming emails are going directly to the trash folder rather than the inbox. There seems to rhyme or reason for which emails are being treated in this way. It has caused me to miss some important communications. Just this morning, for example, there were four new emails in the trash folder. Why is this happening?

In the past, all my incoming email want directly to my in box. About a month ago random emails would land in the archived box. I did not mark them to archive, I see now that they were automatically marked as to be archived. Not sure how or why but please stop it!

My emails have been going into my Archive folder every since I updated Yahoo. Need to know how to get my income emails to come into my Inbox. I am unable to apply to messages that cam to the Archive folder.

It appears Yahoo would be better accepted if it paid closer attention to what these commenters have said about your product and its obvious far left leaning attitude...try being JUST a little bit more honest occasionally!
Personally I would also add, it would be refreshing if you wouldn't keep messing with Yahoo Email...now my new mail comes into my "TRASH" section. Go figure that one out... -

I have valid contacts in my contact list that constantly have their mail to me dumped in the trash. I see nothing in my filters to prevent their mail from showing up in my Inbox and all the entries are ok. What is going on?

NO, I do NOT have filters on.
Sent a message to Yahoo asking for help, and HOURS later got an auto reply saying no help for this issue, but read these random help pages. Which I already tried. What a worthless app and company.
EDIT: and of course, Yahoo merges this with an old thread where many others are complaining about this, with the completely useless answer to check filters. WHICH I DON'T HAVE ON.

There are no FAQs or help on this problem: Most email from just SEARS are going into TRASH, yet have zero filters set. Why? What are steps for me to correct this problem. Is it that Yahoo mail server has a filter set INCORRECTLY to do this and affects MANY yahoo users?
