Allow users to run a newly created filter against all the mail in their inbox.
OK, I see that this idea has been suggesting the past several times (as long ago as 10 years), but someone at Yahoo marks it as Reviewed and people are not allowed to vote on it. So let me try phrasing it in a "use case" style:
{A user has been involved in a project or group for a while and has now received several hundred emails related to this project over the course of the last 18 months. They realize that their inbox is a bit of a mess and want to move all the mail related to that project to a new folder. They create the folder and then create a rule that will identify new email related to that project and move it to the new folder. Now they need a way to easily apply their new rule to all the old emails they have in their inbox to see if they fit the criteria and then move them.}
This is a valid and important use case for which Yahoo mail does not offer an apparent solution. Please do not close this feature request without inputting a comment as to WHY it is not possible to implement.
