Filtered email goes to Spam, and Spam (even previously marked as) gets into Inbox
Yahoo email seems to be degrading in performance over time. Besides some of the seemingly less important issues (one is where Dark mode does not apply to the viewing of the actual message on the Android version of the app - not good for those of us who medically need it to be dark due to sensitivity), I have seen more and more Spam arrive in my Inbox (no matter how many times I mark it as Spam). AND, some messages from addresses in my contacts list (another issue...), as well as those having filters in place to sort into folders, somehow miss those two very important flags and go straight into the Spam folder! These continuing failures, despite the numerous times it has been reported and voted in feedback, are one reason I did not renew Yahoo Pro!
I am a professional who has worked in the software support and development sector for over a decade, so I understand the machinations of the industry. Yet, when I see how many times the Spam issues are reported and voted on, as well as other performance issues, and the application seems to gradually get worse... I am wondering what the ratio is of Execs to PMs to Developers & Coders. I have experienced when there are "too many generals, majors, and colonels versus field officers and NCO's". This often leads to conflicting directions, miscommunications, mismanagement, as well as delays, bugs, and poor performance. And, more often than not, the grunts of development and support are the ones who suffer the most trying to clean up and keep customers. Experienced frontliners and low ranking developers are the often ones with the best experience in most of the issues. Best thing to do is to chop a few heads to clear up the rabble and confusion, so you can actually listen to those who are in trenches and determine the best course of action! Now that I have said my piece, I am going to go back and clean up the clutter...
