Yahoo Premium? WTF is this
Yahoo...I don't know what you are thinking with mandating that I either disable my Ad security (which invites my computer to numerous malware instances) or be restricted to basic mail. But I'm disappointed in you for this, especially in this time for purposely restricting general features in a generally free provided mail service. If you review the business modeling of other companies that have taken similar steps (prior to going bankrupt and disintegrating...like MySpace, if you remember that far back) and know that this will severely disrupt, if not accelerate your advancement to irrelevancy. I would implore you to not reduce functionality for your basal users, unless your business plans include the orchestrated collapse caused by a self imposed frustration that you are placing on general users to glean a few dollars per month from those that still use your services. I'm disappointed in this effort and feel that the executives that have signed off on these policies should feel the same. At the same time, in the effort to produce a united Internet that works in collaboration for the betterment of mankind, any member who voted for these policies should resign any re compensation from their basal salary and return that to their shareholders out of sheer disappointment. You owe it to your employees to do better and think of their interests instead of focusing on a quick payout before succumbing to your increased irrelevancy and focus on providing services to your consumers that is separate than those provided by Google, which at current, you are losing.
