mailbox layout
Yes, the layout of the newer Yahoo Mailbox is profoundly disappointing. It would be GREAT if you would make the page user customizable (for parts that are not necessary on your end---like ad bars, etc.---or maybe create a choice of ad layout options). I understand some site administrators deem the need for ads, but the layout is horrifically wasteful of desktop space. The actual list of emails in the inbox now is reduced probably to ~60-50% of the desktop space due to ad bar, top bars that aren't even filled with buttons but rather a lot of unused blank space, and wasted space in the height of each email listing in the inbox (even with the "Small" and not "Expanded" view setting on). Can't you move the email function buttons (e.g., Back, Reply, Archive, Spam, etc.) up into the next bar up in the unused top right-side space), and can you make the heights of the listings of each email less high so as not to waste that height space? There are many ways the desktop could be reformed for efficiency, and the usable inbox desktop space is frustratingly small right now. Also, it is painfully slow to load (as another post mentions, though this is partly due to many tabs open in my browser---but Yahoo still loads slower than the other sites; something with the new layout may have adversely slowed performance). ~C
