I checked my Spam folder yesterday, 4/11/2023, and the folder was empty. My intention was to report any incoming spam to Spamcop, but there was nothing to do.
Today is 4/12/2023. I checked my Spam folder, and there are three spams in there -- One from 4/9 and Two from 4/8. Every time-stamp that is provided in the spams' headers confirm the dates they were sent.
The way Spamcop works, it's most beneficial to report spams, and therefore have reports sent the offending ISPs, as soon as possible after the spams are transmitted.
In the case of the three spams that just [finally] appeared today, there is not much value in reporting them to Spamcop, since one is 3 days old and the other two are 4 days old. In fact, they wouldn’t accept reports on such old spams even if I were willing to go through the exercise. Like I say, it's hopeful that reporting a newly transmitted spam to Spamcop might accomplish something, but the effort is thwarted when delivery of the spams are delayed for days.
This email address is my honeypot, and Yahoo provides a lot of material for me to snitch on. But occasionally, I see this kind of delay on the spams. As a honeypot, it doesn’t receive much valid email, so I never noticed any delay on the valid ones, only occasionally on spams.
If the delay is intentional, if perhaps Yahoo occasionally needs to take extra care before labeling an email as "spam," then I have no complaint, and appreciate Yahoo's effort. It's just a shame that one vector towards eliminating spam should ever be lost.
If the delay is intentional, I would wonder what it is that causes some spams to arrive instantly and others to arrive days after being sent.
However, if the delay indicates an unintended problem, if there is nothing in Yahoo's system that would allow such delays in delivering -- spam or otherwise, then I thought I'd let you know that it's happening, anyway.

stop your mail service if this is the best you can do about blocking scams.

Why would an e transfer payment mail be classified as spam mail? That is rude, and off putting to say the least. Get it together Yahoo.

Your spam filter sends my new customers email to spam and it is costing me lost sales. Let me chose my spam filter settings or I will take my accounts to your competitors who allow me to set my own spam filters.

I am getting hundreds of junk emails, from various different email address, all with the same user name, but different domains. I can easily block junk emails that use the same domain but different userids, using wildcards, but I cannot do this the other way around. For example renter29682-info@quixxicalpreserve.cfd, renter29682-info@statecrash.sbs, etc., etc.
How can I block these emails - I have been blocking them one at a time, but of course I have now hit the 1000 limit. I would need the ability to block renter29682-info@*, but this is not allowed. -

If I block an email, Yahoo should derermine the actual sender and automatically block that contact and delete all future emails from that contact

I should be able to filter out spam emails that come from common addresses by deleting them automatically, and I can't do that. I always get spam from emails that begin with office@, and yet your filters don't even send those to Trash like they are supposed to. I'd rather they not go to Trash at all and just get deleted period.

Is Yahoo trying to get rid of its mail users and shut down Yahoo mail ???
1. The "Block senders" option is usually missing from the dropdown list and when it is there it is NOT working - it says "Failed to add blocked addresses"
2. You allow too much spam to reach your servers.

Why is it that some Spam mail items do not have an email address, this makes it hard to block like this one... **** My Wet ***** This Night - @Grab.my.Ass798... it's horrible & keeps coming up in my spam folder. Please make it mandatory that all email addresses to be shown. All I can do is keep deleting it, this is so sickening.

The user interface is poor and confusing. The $5 month charge is ok - BUT - why no SPAN filter?? I get a dozen SPAM each day - obvious fake domains!
Part of the issue may be that I have an old email migrated to AT&T which then outsourced to Yahoo? I now have a new Yahoo-only email and it works fine.

Yahoo should block Junk BEFORE sending it to Junk folder for me to delete. Receiving literally 100's per day, often 1 per minute for several hours. Blocking only stops them for a day or two.

I get a lot of spam, usually from different senders using the same web address....."Spammer@samewebaddress.com". Right now I can identify this one sender as spam and I will not get emails from that "person" anymore but then they use another name - "spammer2@samewebaddress.com" - and so on and so on.
I get emails from Norton, McAfee, CVS, myself!, Walmart, etc, etc, etc. all with different "names" but from the "samewebaddress".
I have to block/identify each email. Lots of wasted time on my side by first identifying that it is a spam sender and then block/identify as spam each one. This doesn't stop the issue because it only identifies this one sender as spam. They change the "name" and continue to send me spam. Very annoying. I need help to block the "samewebaddress".
If I could block all emails from a "samewebaddress.com" no matter who/what the spammer name is, I would eliminate 80% of my spam. .
Please add this option to Yahoo Email.
