1. Ads take too much room on reading pane

   I don't mind the ads on the side but the ads along the bottom take up to much room, make them smaller or better yet get rid of them.

2. Don't get rid of notepad!

   Just got the update that Yahoo is getting rid of Notepad!! Why?? This is ludicrous! First you get rid of email theme for emailing and now you're getting rid of my most used feature!!
   I have a business that runs YAHOO and this is a very useful tool in one place.

5. "Account disconnected" with outlook, hotmail

   Yahoo is experiencing an error when adding mailboxes from Outlook and Hotmail; after accepting the request, a message appears saying "Account disconnected".

6. Additional storage options need to be improved ASAP.

   Getting additional space on Yahoo needs to be improved.

   Current options are :
   Free: 15 GB || £1.99/ mo: 100 GB || £9.99/ mo: 1 TB

   Can Yahoo come up with something like 50GB and amount payable quarterly/half-yearly/yearly?

   Why does it have to be monthly ONLY????

8. Block Domains!!!!!

   Why can't we get more than "Block 3 User Domains"? I have 1000 filters, but would appreciate maybe 5, 10, 25 domain blocks....Thank you!

9. Use of wild cards (??? or *) when recording spammer domains in personal block lists.

   When posting spammer domains on your suppression lists, some spammers are creating a large number of variations of their domain to escape Yahoo Mail spam filters. These can be just variations of prefixes before the domain followed by suffixes .info, .com, .org, and so on.

   Just one of these scammers which is being "creative" in this regard is the domain "dealzcahnge" with multiple combinations of prefixes and suffixes.

   Please allow the use of wild cards so that "dealzcahnge" can be totally blocked by entering .dealzcahnge." and users who just create a variation of the demain by entering a number (say 1 thru 10) can be blocked by entering
   something like *.domainname.* or .domainname?..

10. Opt In to suppressing KNOWN spammer domains

    Yahoo Mail,

    I’d LOVE to see Yahoo Mail develop a “spammer” list and allow members to be allowed to “opt in” to have all emails from ALL of these low-lifes just blocked by Yahoo's mail server.

    In addition to increasing Yahoo’s costs, these spammers waste every user’s time, and computer power, by forcing every user to enter these spammer’s domains or email address into a personal block list.

    Then the user could simply block domains which are undesired (perhaps a former employer) or emails which are undesired (perhaps an estranged significant other or former friend).

    I understand that rules may require delivery of messages - but shouldn’t the user be able to opt out of receiving a barrage of known spam?

    I currently have some 77 individual spammer email addresses (from popular mail servers) plus almost 300 spammer domains recorded on my profile (peter.pullen), which could be used as a foundation.

    I doubt that many people are looking for emails from any of the web sites like the myriad ???.dealzcahnge.??? domains (there are at least TEN variations) or alshayebcoilkuwait.com or goldsgymagadir.com which regularly waste our time and computer power by disseminating pure TRASH.

11. Feedback - New Mail functionality is not good. It wastes my time and frustrates me.

    I wish I could select several of the items in the drop-down menu RE: How can we improve New Mail. I used to be able to select multiple messages (mostly spam - please fix that noise) with a single click and delete them quickly in one fell swoop. Now I have to click each one twice, the app is slow to respond to both clicks, and then pray that an ad doesn’t pop up because that wipes out every single checkbox for the multiple emails I really want gone from my inbox. Let’s digress - how is all that spam getting into my inbox and not into my spam box?? Moving on - Why when I send or delete a message is the next displayed screen the sent mailbox or the deleted mailbox? I truly don’t understand the page layout where I’m led to believe that I can read the message on the right having selected it on the left. I have to fully open to display the message. GAH! I’ve used Yahoo Mail for probably 25-26 years. This isn’t an improvement.

12. Downloading attachments

    Problem downloading attachments. For the past few weeks now, every time I pick an attachment to download, it goes straight into the downloads folder instead of giving me the option of where to save it to, as it did before. How can I change this so it asks me where to save the file?

13. deleting emails

    when I delete emails off my phone inbox they are still in my laptop inbox. This frustrates me. Why do I have to delete them twice? Please make it when I delete from one device, they delete from all devices.
    Also last time I updated (about 3 weeks ago), almost 2000 emails loaded from 2025! Where were these and how do I delete them all at once - take them back please.

    My settings says I have used 18.8 GB but your email says I have used extra 3.8 GB, so which one is correct? I'm confused and how to check the storage. I am using Mac to check emails.

    Subject: Urgent: Storage Display Error PreventingEmail(amazigrace@yahoo.com.sg) functionality

    Dear Yahoo Support Team,

    I am writing to report a serious system error with my Yahoo Mail storage display that is preventing me from sending and receiving emails.

    The Issue:

    · My total storage is 15 GB
    · I have permanently deleted 6.8 GB of emails (Trash and Spam folders are empty)
    · However, my "Manage Storage" page still shows "0% available" and states I need to "free up 8.2 GB"

    Your own system displays contradictory information:

    · "Yahoo Mail 15 GB"
    · "0% available"
    · "You need to free up 8.2 GB"

    This is mathematically incorrect. If I have deleted 6.8 GB from 15 GB, my available space should be 6.8 GB (45.3%), not 0%.

    Impact:
    Because of this display error, my email service has been interrupted, and I am unable to send or receive important messages.

    Request:
    Please urgently correct my storage record to reflect the actual available space of 6.8 GB / 15 GB (45.3%) and restore my ability to send and receive emails immediately.

    I trust you will resolve this matter promptly.

16. Better USER FILTERS

    Your current spam filtering is ineffective (i.e., completely worthless). You should instead allow us to set filters that (1) take precedence over yahoo spam filtering (or enable us to filter spam without having you redirect it first to 'bulk mail'), (2) immediately delete things we flag as spam, that is, without delivering it to trash, bulk mail, spam or anything else (I don't need to see stuff I know is spam), (3) you should allow us to set a spam filter that automatically deletes an email where ANY header or any other formatting characteristic we define (for example, anything having any email address, to, cc, reply, from, mail-from, etc. that begins with "reply@, news*, etc." and (4) even better, allow us to set complex rules outside of headers (e.g., reject email having HELO that matches 'value y', or having a specific dmarc, d value or other type of value we want to kill). Right now, yahoo (a) delivers notorious spam through trivial evasion of yahoo filters, but seems to flag legitimate emails as spam and not deliver them and (b) doesn't allow us to set effective filters that would at least delete the spam yahoo seems incapable of deleting. You need a more effective solution, i.e., right now I'd characterize you as "industry worst."

18. Not everything should be a subscription. Issues with unsubscribing from email threads.

    First, Love the subscription tab so easy to see everything I'm receiving e-mails from! however, I've been trying to go through and delete the ones I no longer want to see and I can get through about 3 of them before they start popping back up under the subscription list and I have to unsubscribe again. When I click unsubscribe and confirm my choice I want it to stay under unsubscribed.

    It would make sense to select "Unread" emails, then Sort by Sender. Also, I mentioned several times over the years that you should also be able to sort Sent items by To/Recipient.

20. calendar messages

    It appears messages received from the calendar are messed up. The body of the email will show for about 2 seconds then disappear. Crazy but that is the only email it does that to. If I forward the calendar message to another yahoo email account it does the same thing. If I forward to a hotmail account it is there. Also, the body disappears during the forward. I am using the current email under yahoo.
