Yahoo Calendar as of 2024 Sep 14th, isn't sending updates to status for "Meeting Invitations" received from Outlook-or-Google Calenders!
It's Saturday, 2024 Sep 14th as I write this. I just spent half-a-day trying to send "Meeting Invitations" from Outlook Calendar, and from Google Calendar, to Yahoo. Yahoo Mail and Calendar can receive the event, BUT the meeting organiser never gets a status-update about the Yahoo user's "Yes", "Maybe", or "No" in the "Meeting Organiser's" electronic calendar.
What happens is an email is received from the Yahoo invitee's Yahoo Calendar, BUT the status never updates in the "Meeting Organiser's" Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar event!
Yahoo needs to check the ".ics" file transmitted from Yahoo Calendar as an RSVP reply, when a Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar has been used to send a "Meeting Invitation" to a Yahoo Calendar user. Yahoo might not be using the most-up-to-date version of ".ics" file as of 2024 September, which causes the Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar not to recognise a Yahoo Calendar invitee's status change, when "Yes", "Maybe", or "No" is selected by the Yahoo Calendar recipient of a "Meeting Invitation".
I saw error messages stating "unusable ".ics" file", when I received email replies from Yahoo Calendar users, when I sent Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar "Meeting Invitations".
- I strongly suspect, that the Yahoo Calendar is EITHER using an outdated ".ics file version" OR there is an erroneously-labeled field in the ".ics file or CalDAV internet standard" used by Yahoo Calendar in 2024 September.
Yahoo Calendar Technical Corrections and Management Teams, please correct this so Yahoo Calendar users can receive and send "Calendar Meeting Invitations" with non-Yahoo Calendar users (Google Calendar users, Outlook Calendar users, and other electronic calendar users, that currently work correctly with each other with the ".ics files" they exchange as "Meeting Invitations" and "Meeting RSVPs").
I even tried a lesser known electronic calendar and email system, and its replies to Google-and-Outlook Calendar "Meeting Invitations" are reflected properly in the Google-and-Outlook Calendar's events.
Of the electronic calendars I have tried so far in 2024 September, only the Yahoo Calendar's replies to non-Yahoo "Meeting Invitations" do not update the non-Yahoo Calendars' status for a calendar-event.
PLEASE CORRECT THIS RIGHT AWAY, since there are already repeated reports of this problem (in lesser detail) for a number of years now!
Looking forward to being able to send-and-receive "Meeting Invitations" without status update problems, between Yahoo Calendar and Google-and-Outlook Calendars, soon!

I've been trying to have this issue resolved, since around 2011, so hopefully, this posting (and the other ones that have appeared since then, from others) will get this matter resolved.
