I've been a client for over 20y. Since Yahoo was my primary mail, I've accumulated over 60G of space. It took me over 4hours to cleanup ~20G because you only allow to clean up to
10000 emails via Mobile app and/or
2000 - via web at a time and I wanted/needed to be selective.
Proposing:
a) raise/restore limit - at least "grandfather" existing accounts
b) provide a way to locally bulk-archive and or migrate to a different vendor free-account
c) improve cleaning
Please, keep in-mind - your customers can also be your parent company customers and/or investors and may decide to sever all relationships + bad PR due to industry unprecedented (to my knowledge) move of going back on such a vital/material part of the contract.
BTW: was the revenue increase worth it?
