Yahoo Contacts not available for several months
When I am trying to access new yahoo mail contacts, it's automatically opening another page and switching to classic yahoo mail but Yahoo Contacts not appearing. Showing "Yahoo will right be back, thank you for your patience. Our Engineers are working quickly to resolve the issue". This is occurring for several months and I am not able to access Contacts to create, edit or delete contact in Yahoo mail.
Currently, the Contacts page is only available in the Classic version of Mail. If you’re still seeing that error message when accessing it, please see this help page for troubleshooting:

Allow me to manage my contacts! When I DELETE email contacts I want them to STAY deleted!!
I have over 1,000 email contacts. I use about 100 of those. I have deleted the ones I don't use many many times and they continue to return. Every Craig's List Crazy, people I haven't contacted in many years - they all keep returning to my active Contacts list.
This is usually due to a syncing issue with another device that accesses the account, like a smartphone. Remove the account there, delete the duplicate/unneeded contacts, and then re-add the account.

cannot access mail contacts
I am not able to see my saved contacts in yahoo mail.It is throwing error message stating that "Yahoo will be right back and our engineers are working to resolve this issue" . Please fix this issue as soon as possible.I am seeing this error message for so long.Because of this i am not able to import or export email contacts to my mobile. So please fix it asap.

Currently, Contacts are only available in Classic Mail until the new version is completed. This is expected behavior.

Can't remove contacts from drop down list of contacts when creating emails
For the last month or so, I've noticed that when you try to remove a contact from the contact list while creating an email, the opeartion doesn't work properly.
When you click "remove", the list will instead leave the letter you start with.
For example:
1) you have template email
2) you use the letter A in "to" list
3) autopopulated email contact list appears
4) you attempt to click cancel on first email (ex: abcdefg@email.com)
end result =
to: AI'm currently using various versions of Firefox as my web browser. (Seen this on 3 different computers)
I…The best thing to do would be to type/paste the whole address before cancelling the autosuggest window.

If you start typing the name of the contact in the To field, the address should auto-populate. Clicking on the “To” when composing an email will also bring up a list of contacts.

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! I CAN'T ADD OR DELETE OR EDIT NAMES IN THE ALLEGED "IMPROVED" YAHOO MAIL! You must really be taking the right steps to force people to gmail. Completely unacceptable that I cannot edit or add contacts like before. ******* unacceptable and I'm not a swearing person. I click on the little Address Book on the side and it takes me to the "classic" version BUT those edits are not syncing with the "new" version. **** **** ******** *******!

provide a way of contacting yahoo customer service, preferrably an email address.
1) Provide a means of sending an email to Yahoo Customer Service. It is next to impossible to do so now. The choices offered for Help Subjects have nothing to do with the issue I am having. 2) Get rid of New Mail entirely; it sucks. Change for the sake of change is annoying. 3) Tell me why Yahoo mail sends emails I want to Spam when I have never told Mail that that source is Spam.

Can't change contact names in New Mail. Can be changed in old mail, but the change does not come across to new.

You can access contacts by clicking on the icon on the upper right side (small icon made up of a rectangle with three small stacked squares). This will open Contacts in a new tab of your browser in the classic mail look. You can also access your contacts by clicking on To, CC or BCC when you are in the compose, forward or reply mode or via https://contacts.yahoo.com.

Cleared cache, cookie everything. Error comes Yahoo Will be right back.
Checked with few of my friends nearby same problem. I live at Mumbai, India. Friends in US are not facing this problem.
